Oh, Dernhelm. I was going to read them all and review at the end when I was caught up, but I just had to say that this was beautiful and aching and to say thank you for sharing it with us.

Author's Response: Thank you, BT. This really means a lot to me.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother, Dernhelm. Sending good vibes to you and your family.
This is a beautiful conversation they had. Grief hits us all at different times in our lives, and it forces us to answer questions we're not ready to. Neither of them want to discuss their after-death plans with one another, never *wanting* to part, but alas, it must be done sometimes.

This fits VERY well, Dernhelm. Beautiful.

Author's Response: Thank you, Em. Your support means a lot to me.

My sympathies to you about your grandma. I don't feel this is out of character at all. It feels appropriate that after such an event they'd talk about it. the bet neither wanted to win feels all sorts of appropriate though.

Author's Response: Thank you, Warrior. It truly means a lot to me.

I'm very sorry for your loss, my friend. My uncle passed away last month, and I'm going through a similar period of reflection.

It does feel in character that this is something they would start to think about at that point, that it's not on their minds before the loss of a parent, and that it would be chilling to them to think of life without each other.

Author's Response: I'm so sorry for your loss too. And I'm grateful to you for your support immensely.
