CAN'T FORGET ABOUT RYAN, I'M DECEASED.

Aw, Michael's really gone through it with relationships, and I'm happy Cupid was lowkey meddling with Holly in Nashua

Awww. He very much is a well-intentioned dummy.

This is an interesting take on Michael's family life - I always assumed his issues with Jeff were mainly on him, sort of reminiscent of his relationship with Toby, but it would actually make quite a bit of sense if his primary male role model genuinely sucked.

The running gag of Cupid's enjoyment of food from chain restaurants is great.

"Jan once said that if she dated Michael publicly, one of the downsides would be collapsing on herself like a dying star. Well, welcome to the collapse. Keep your arms and legs inside the ride." LOL.

"Dundie and TV trump boob job." I want that on a t-shirt.

This depiction of Michael's relationship with Holly and how he was able to be more patient *because* it was real is lovely, friendo.

P.S. I know it's not in the plans, but I would very much enjoy a bonus Jan chapter.

What I really like about this one is that it shows why Michael is the way he is and how his early years played into the character we see. How desperate Michael is for a true relationship but also his inability to contain himself. Michael wants to love and be loved but has no sense of subtlety. The fact these traits endear and frustrate Cupid to no end shows a great insight to Michael's character. The guy really does mean well, he just doesn't know when to stop.

I also felt we kind of got a two for one with this chapter. The bits of Jan we got while not a full analysis was also well within keeping for her.

I get a sense of relief from Cupid once Michael and Holly finally got together in the end. Relief that yes, he knows how to do his job and also that he doesn't have to deal with the craziness that is Michael anymore. He can just sit back and let them be happy.

And for all the jokes the man makes about sex, he honestly just wants to love and be loved.

This place, this office, these people--they were everything to him.
Until Holly became his everything.

Okay just destroy me why dont you?? This was the best. I love that Cupid has a soft spot for Michael because he’s the one who wants *actual* love. Ugh. Leave me alone to cry

I know I say this all the time, but you are so fucking funny. I’m running out of ways to tell you and quotes to reference. More chapters please.

This chapter was perfectly done, you nailed every aspect of Michael, his pure heart and his need to be loved (and where that stemmed from), his reversed logic and actions, his cartoon eyes face at seeing Jan's boob job.

Oh and you pretty much nailed Jan too and all told with the Cupid humor that this story has been doing so wonderfully. I mean- Keep your arms and legs inside the ride- love it.

I loved the Michael Holly love story almost as much as I loved Jam - the speech he gives about them at the company picnic - I saw that as a huge turning point for him - now he still wasn't completely evolved - as you point out there was Helene and Donna and Scott's Tots still had to happen but now I like to think some sparrows had been sent to get him to the place of that speech.

And with the point that he left his everything for his new everything - well that kind of sums it all up. A Very wise Cupid indeed.
