CHRISTMAS CAROL FIC.

I love Mrs. Frobisher and her calm and clear explanations, and you win extra points for her turning out to be alive and well and possibly magical. AND for offering a fully plausible reason for why Jim doesn't end up going to Australia.

And Snow Day Jim and Pam are adorable!

Always enjoy a story with a bit of mysticism in it, especially when it offers the kind of subconscious hope it gave to Jim. Nice job with this one.

Author's Response: Thanks Max! I'm not much for the supernatural (a bit of a skeptic TBH) but I really wanted to write something with a vague hint of a Christmas Carol without it actually being a Christmas carol, or similarly It's a Wonderful Life. I wanted Mrs Frobisher to have a little hint of Clarence in this story as that enabler to help Jim have his happy ending (bit of an innuendo there but you know what I mean :D)

This was a lot of fun for sure. To get more of a reason why every so often we'd get glimpses of the real Jim in S3 was a nice way to frame it. As Jim said just before they got married, he knew all along he was waiting for his wife. Love that we get more detail as to why he's able to hold on to that kind of hope. While it would have been fun to have an AU Jim and Pam get together early kind of thing, this works well too. By the time they're truly together, they're ready for each other and then have a bond so strong, nothing will tear it apart. Lovely job.

Author's Response: Thanks Warrior!  I thought hard about those moments when "our Jim" rather than the "evolved" version popped out in S3. It made sense that his subconscious might have a reason for that, however far-fetched! I watch S3 with a heavy heart sometimes, mainly because I want Pam to shake some sense into him and to get them together that much quicker!  But it just wasn't their time yet. And I feel like I've given myself a reason to be able to watch S3 with a little more enjoyment.

Let's all thank our lucky stars that Jim is such a klutz and bumped his head before his Australia trip.

And thank you Mrs. Frobisher. You're a really great wingman.

Author's Response: Thank goodness for klutzy Jim!  I loved writing Mrs Frobisher, I had a clear vision of her in my head. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Never apologise for British spelling!!
I always like a Christmas Carol style view of the future, so I enjoyed this.
Would love to know what your words were! And I guess, thank goodness for that headache, in a way!!

Author's Response:

Thank you my fellow Brit!

So my words were:

- Christmas lights
- blizzard
- snow-shoveling
- stocking
- their first Christmas in their house
- latkes
- New Year’s Party/New Year's hangover
- elves

I think I got 4 of the 8 (despite being a nice Jewish Girl from North London I was unable to incorporate the latkes, much to my shame. My mother does make a mean latke though.)
