Ooh this is off to a great start. Season 3 Jim was kind of a dick. Pam had every reason to think he wouldn't want to hear from her due to how he left. It was a great song choice. He did move on awfully quick for a guy in love. Can't wait for this conversation! #TeamPam

Sorry it took me so long to read and review but hey, it took you a while to post it up -and I'm so glad you did because I really enjoyed reading it.
Nice, (Kevin voice) this look at a Pam who had gone from rueful and apologetic about the Roy attack of Jim to feisty and loud (at least while singing). Picked up on the dual use by them both of "sophisticated fun" - yup sounds right.
Well done with the internal dialogue starting with 'Poke the wasps’ nest, Jim.' during their confrontation.
Yikes - what's gonna happen now? This should be interesting with a very heated Jam going into next chapter.
Author's Response: Thanks Max! Read the appropriate bit in a Kevin voice :D I really feel that after Phyllis's wedding something clicked for Pam and it was the final piece for her to work out who she was. Some big stuff in chapter 2...

This is a really interesting look into things for sure. They're both in a fine fettle about everything. Jim feeling more than a little trapped in his relationship with Karen. Pam pissed off at how she's been treated. Add in a night of booze and yeah feels like the feelings are about to come out. Especially with them sniping at each other at the bar there. Then Pam digging in further with the song. Still it also feels like it was a bit of a dam breaking moment. All the careful actions and tiptoeing around each other they've done is gone. Jim's last line there feels like there's going to be a flood of emotions coming out of him and her. Though where will that lead them when all is said and done remains to be seen. Looking forward to more for sure.

Jim was such an ass in season three so it was good to see Pam stand up to him and not take his crap,
like she did in canon. I hope she keeps it up.
The biggest issue I had with Jim in that situation was that he acted like the poor victim and treated Pam as if she were the villain when he was the person who started the problem between them(and Roy) in the first place. 😡
Also Karen wanting to have sophisticated nights show how she and Jim are not a good match.
I do like how Jim thinks that being with Karen is his own personal hell that he brought on himself.
Jim deserves to be miserable in season three.

Author's Response: Thank you! I agree entirely. Jim had no patience when it came to it and was a bit of a victim-blamer. One of his faults really, much as I love him. Update has now happened!

Just one drink - that made me laugh snort as soon as I read it. Yeah right.
As did Roy being terrible in bed.
Loved the slightly drunken argument at the bar and the karaoke choice was perfect.

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I really do think that Roy probably did a lot of learning about good sex post-Pam, by the time he married Laura (Lara?) he was a lot better at it!
