How fun! I was actually listening to Rooney's 'Merry Xmas Everybody' during this, so I am now completely in the mood. Unfortunately it's August.. But I'll read this again when it actually is christmas.=)

something practical is exactly what my mom wants for her birthday. if we get her something ... nice... she returns it. and buys like a broom. its so sad.
Poor Jim, he would have done it. And Roy actually did it right... for once.

but for once Roy had done exactly what he would have done – and Jim had nothing to gloat about.
I'm always on the lookout for good Roy moments. I really liked this one.
It's amazing to me when Michael actually gets something right. I like those moments, too. Bravo/Brava for a good chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you! I like Roy getting his good moments in every once in a while too. He had to be a decent, considerate fiance at least some of the time or she wouldn't have stayed with him all that time (she was no Fancy New Beesly yet, but even Old Settling Beesly wouldn't have put up with a guy who never ever made her happy!)
