Cool idea for a drinking game. I think Karen played her turn very well considering all the confusion and anger she's feeling.

Oh Noodles - you're killing me.

I don't know what it is about fanfic tonight - I'm desperate for fluff and can't find it.

Geez.  Because you've got to eat you're making me have to write it myself. ;)

My heart is pitter pattering though - 'cause this chapter shows all sorts of promise...so I'll cut you some slack. ;)

Pins and needles....pins and needles....I tell you.  Please.  Type faster!!!

Hey, remember that time that you wrote the sexiest Jim moment ever? Yeah, that was awesome.

69 cups, are you KIDDING ME? You get me all happy by posting 2 chapters at once and then go out to forage for food?  (In other words, this is awesome)

He slides his fingers under the neckline of her sweater, gently pulling it off of her shoulders with both hands.

This is HOTTER than any of that other "erotica" out there. Woo. I need a minute.

The ending of this chapter just prompted my first ever review on this site.

That was just mean.

But aside from the cruelty of that... I do need to tell you that I've been on the edge of my seat waiting for this story! It's great and I just can't wait to read more! Especially right now;-)

Author's Response:

Wow, thanks!  I'm honored! ;-)

I'm glad you've enjoyed this.  I hope you like the last chapters as well.  Thanks so much for reviewing!

I know you may have plans for the New Year yourself, Ms. Noodle, but this will not do!  You MUST let us know what happens next!

"Shabby replacement, no. Rebound chick is open to interpretation though."

"Yes," he simply says.

Two best lines in this chapter. I am really enjoying this storyline.

However, the rest of the dialogue between Jim and Karen seemed a little too verbose.

a whole hour until midnight?!?  OK, Karen has been thrown under the JamTrain, but it still hasn't pulled into the station yet.  I am still waiting on the platform, even though it is cold (because I have on my marshmellow coat!)

Rebound chick is open to interpretation though.

Great line. And hooray for Jim coming clean at the end. And for Pam knowing nothing would be gained by 'going there' with Roy. And for Karen being no fool.  Waiting with baited breath for more...

Dear 69 cups: I am not ignoring this story, I promise. I have been (impatiently) waiting for you to finish (WIP's make me nervous) and I am very much looking forward to it. *tries not to peek* Hurry! ;)

Author's Response: Haha...I totally understand, Paper Jam, I get the same way.  But I will say that I have the next three days off so it should be done by Monday!

"Shabby replacement, no. Rebound chick is open to interpretation though."

Oh god, that's a hilarious line, and I can so hear him saying it, trying to diffuse the tension.  And guh, that last line is just so gut-wrenching, the simple, "yes."

Mmmkay...next chapter?

Author's Response:

I'm glad you thought it was funny because I wasn't sure if breaking the tension was such a good thing to do there.  But oh, well.  Next chapter should be up tonight!

So good. [/Jim]  This ranks right up there with "Booze Cruise" on the frustration meter - I was so dying for him to kiss her!!!!!!!

Author's Response:

So was Pam!

Oh wow - just wow.  Once again, a brilliant setup.  I totally did not see the cheating question coming, so it absolutely took my breath away.  Wow.  Deep breath.  I'm seriously getting upset that I've only got a few chapters left to read.

All right, I've got this sustained inward squee thing going on at the tension you're building here!  This is a delicious, delicious set up!  ....And I swear to god, if this is the last chapter, I will kill myself!  [/Kelly]

Niiiice </Kevin>

Really glad it's finally out there. This is how it should happen on the show. Karen should just ask and get a straight answer.

I like Karen and I think she needs to let Jim have it in the next chapter. I mean, she followed him to Scranton because he asked her to, even though he knew he'd see Pam again and that he still has feelings for her and that she was no longer engaged. If I was Karen, I'd be piiiiiiiissed.

But, you know, JAM all the way!

Author's Response:

I agree.  Because inevitably, she's going to see or hear something fishy and she's going to need to know.  So I hope she asks and gets a straightforward answer.

I like Karen, too, and it's really hard not having her come across as a major bitch in this story, while still showing sympathy for her.  I'd be pissed as well!

First: The line about Jim wanting so badly to make a joke about Karen's boots made me laugh right out loud. That said, I read the rest of the story holding my breath, dying for him to come face-to-face with Pam.  Ahh me. Now if only she'll take off that pesky sweater....

Brilliant, brilliant twist with Karen seeing the yearbook photo - ahhh!  And your line about the chiffon dress feeling soft in her fingers "just like his hair had"...guh.  This is awesome!
