What I think is really interesting about this chapter is the way you contrast Karen's confusion on why Jim would be attracted to Pam with evidence to why he would be attracted to her--their easy, comfortable conversation. I thought you really did well with their voices here, particularly Jim's dread of dealing with Karen the next morning in front of an office full of people. I can't wait to see how you handle their inevitable conversation, being as she did go off on him in the office (sort of) in front of everybody. A is for awkward.

Since I had, what, two days to speculate...which by the way, when you spoil us in the beginning with like three updates a day, you make me crazy with the two day waits. You're like an underhanded drug dealer!

Anyway, I have this idea that the scene in Casino night where "Jim" confesses his feelings is Jim going off script.

Enough of my speculations, I love how realistically messed up these people are. I've done exactly what Pam just did in this last chapter, complete with the (completely accurate) belief that I was going insane. Can't wait for more.

So, Jim not saying anything. Totally working. Ahhh!

I was just getting ready to go to bed, thinking "Damn, I wish there had been more to 'Famous' before I went to bed. I love that story." And there wasn't an update, and I was like "(sad face)". And then I refreshed on a whim and BAM there it was.

I had no idea I had magical powers, but I want to thank you for showing me the talents I apparently possess. Ask and ye shall receive...an awesome update.

I love there slow burning underlying totally un-self aware, self loathing, self absorbed sexual tension. I adore it. Your characterizations are so spot on, so consistent without being cookie cutter. Beautiful, and I can't wait for more.

I swear, I thought the same thing when Jim said "I don't know who to call." PAM, you doofus! So I'm glad I get to see that play out vicariously through this story, and by a great writer to boot. Can't wait for more.

Perfect. So much perfect, I couldn't list it all if I tried. You nailed that desperate "it's not my fault everything has gone to hell, but now that it has, I totally need a fix" attitude of an addict. Oh man, so perfect. He's such a broken, scared little boy at heart, isn't he?

Great story. You have a style that is almost lyrical. I loved your descriptions, and I think your voices were very in character. Lovely.

This is a masterpiece. I love it for so many reasons, but especially because this is life...this is bad relationships followed by bad relationships. This is dream couples not working out and nothing having a perfect ending. Its not straight angst for angsts sake, its life, up and down and that place in between that Karen, and so many people who aren't fictional live. Masterpiece.
