What a great story! I will definitely be reading this one over and over. Jim's behavior after BG has always confused me and I liked that in your story he couldn't wait.

And that was awesome, perfectly written smut.

Author's Response: Thanks SkeetShruting! I appreciate that. And it never made any sense to me that he needed a whole week to get his head together--except that it made for such an awesome season finale, of course. Thanks for the compliment on the smut. I may be braver about posting such stuff in the future. :)

I really like this story and I can't wait to read the next chapter! I can't wait to see what makes him realize that Pam is more than just the receptionist.

I really loved this. I like how we're getting a peek into how well Jim knows Pam. The part where Jim reassures her that they are not headed where her parents are is perfect. I can't wait for the next chapter!

This has been so heart-wrenching to read, but I can't wait to read more. I would love it if Jim would reach out and shake some sense into Pam.

Author's Response: Thank you very much! I would love it too, and that is what will happen! There will be a resolution!

Last three chapters were great. I really liked the fact that Rachel picks up immediately on the fact that Pam has feelings for Jim, and they can't even see it themselves. Sometimes I have just wanted to slap these two! I can't wait to see whats next!

Author's Response: Well, you know what they say....sometimes you just can't see the forest for the trees...or something like that.  And yes, I know exactly what you mean about having wanted to give each one of them a bit of a smack, hoping they'd finally wake up...that was pretty much all of season 3, right?  Who knows, maybe they'll each get somehing of a  smack down before this story ends.

Gaahhh! And there it is. Wow. I really love the last paragraph and the statement that words couldn't express the emotions they were feeling. I've always imagined their first time to be something where they let loose all the bottled up love they had, and you sure captured that!

I so enjoyed reading this. I truly have looked forward to seeing the updates and waiting for that moment when they were finally truthful to each other. You should feel proud of your story, because it was just a masterpiece. And damn, you can write some sexay! I will be rereading that...like, right now.

Author's Response: You know...as I was thinking about how Jim and Pam would be with each other when "it" finally happened....my thinking was leaning toward them being fairly tentative and usnsure with each other...but as I actually wrote, it was like their characters were telling me "no...they've waited for this much, much too long to sort of not just dive right in and let their emotions carry them away"...so that's how the words came out.  I'm glad.  And, once again...thanks for all the kind words and support.

Without a word and with unguarded feeling and purpose he slowly lowered his lips to hers and she responded with all the pent-up yearning and passion her heart had ever held...

My heart is melting! By the time I got to the last sentence of this chapter I think I was pretty much chewing off my fingernails. Yes, a kiss finally!!

Author's Response: Yeah...it was a long time coming...but worth it, I think.  Glad you liked it and please...be strong...save those fingernails.

Wasn't I the lucky one to see new chapters tonight! Now I can go to sleep happy.

I love the way her kiss was described. It was so intimate and I can just picture them on the bed, trying to figure out what was really going on in each other's head. Poor Jim, she messed with his mind so much, he doesn't know what to think.

I love where this is going. I am patiently awaiting the next update!

Author's Response: Yeah...I think there's a whole lotta confusion goin' on right now...on both sides of that mattress.

Author's Response: Maybe you can borrow one of Stanley's crossword puzzle books to kill some time.  Remember, patience is a virtue.  And Skeet (may I call you "Skeet"?) serious props to you for giving my story a nice plug in the "Recommendations" thread.  It's greatly appreciated and I'm so glad that you are enjoying this tale, thus far.

I'm still addicted! I love the tension that's been building, and Pam drawing the couple in the corner. The inner monologue is great, because they both want to the exact same thing and no one wants to give and be the one to finally bring it up. Thank you for being so prompt in updating, because I just live for the times when I see this story updated! I'm looking forward to more.

Author's Response: I'm gald that you and others are enjoying the "inner dialogue" stuff.  As has been said by so many about Jim and Pam....so often it's more about what they don't say...especially during this particular period in their story.

Oh, man. I am completely addicted to this story and I haven't been this excited to read an update in a while! I was so happy when I got up this morning and saw three more chapters.

I can't wait to see where this goes-and I love them getting stranded in the hotel in the snow. Awesome!

Author's Response: Gee...I'm getting goosebumps.  Do we need an intervention...I know a guy in Scranton who's had some experience.  So happy you're enjoying this.

I love this story. One of the most mysterious times in the show to me is this period after Pam has laid it on the line and a week later in TJ he still doesn't know what to do with Pam's confession. Your take on it is great, and I can't wait to read more.

Author's Response: Thanks, Skeet! Glad you liked it. When I was thinking about writing this I was wondering if it had been done before. I couldn\'t think of any stories like it, and now I know why. Jim is really hard to try to understand this week, but I liked the idea of his just standing still and needing a few days to think about things. Glad you liked it. This was just a oneshot, by the way. Just remember \"it\'s a date\" and there\'s the happy ending. :)

I have to add something after reading the comments made by thatonenight.

My take on Karen in your story was that she seemed to almost be laying low, being the 'sweet understanding girlfriend' to make Jim feel like she wasn't pressuring him. On top of that she's doing everything humanly possible to make herself look good to him, including sexually, and pretty much bringing out all her guns as a female. I think that is very true to Karen's character, and I think you captured it well. With all that we know from the the actual scenes, she seems to have been desperately hanging on to him, so I think you did a good job of conveying that. Of course, all readers have their own ideas about it, and not everyone feels that way, but for me, I though you had her spot-on.

Author's Response: Your take on Karen is exactly what I was going for, so thanks for mentioning that. I\'ll never understand WHY Karen seemed so determined to hang on to a relationship that was obviously on thin ice...I suppose that could be another, interesting perspective to try to tackle this story from. Anyway. Thanks, Skeet. I appreciate it. :)
