I have been a reader here for over a year and have never submitted a review before. I just felt like I needed to let you know that I am really enjoying your story. I like the idea that if Jim and Pam don't work out that they could still find happiness. I'm sorry that more people won't get to enjoy your beatiful writing because they can't get see any other option.

Author's Response: Wow, I love being a first review. Thanks so much just me! (I know it\'s proboably because I was whining that no one liked my story, but I\'ll take it nonetheless :-). I agree with you wholeheartedly: if Pam and Jim didn\'t work out, they definitely could still be happy somehow. I think the opposite is more depressing -- that there is only one potential person out there for each of us! I mean, imagine the odds of ever finding that person! This is much more optimistic, I think. Anyway, thanks again for taking the time to read and leave a review. It\'s so appreciated.

Now you have earned my second review. I love everything this story chooses to be. We all come here for our love of Jam, but I have always had a special place in my heart for Jim.I love that you are giving him happiness, even if it's not with Pam. So many stories have made him sad and pathetic without her. Not to say for one minute that I don't want Jim and Pam to find happily ever after together, but if they don't, let them find it somewhere else.

Author's Response: Yes, justme... if you couldn\'t tell already, I have a special place in my heart for Jim, too. I love Pam, but I think my heart has always broken for Jim just a bit more. And I hate seeing the sadsack, depressed Jim without Pam all the time. I mean, the guy\'s a catch! I want him to realize that about himself. Anyway, thanks so much for reading and reviewing! I truly appreciate it!

I don't think this is unfair to Pam at all. It is how Jim felt, he even admits he was the one who couldn't let go of the past.
You are making me nervous with that last sentence "I never hear those words." Please tell me I'm reading too much into that.

Author's Response: Isn\'t it funny that now I\'m making people nervous with the idea of Jim and Emily breaking up??? Hell has officially frozen over, folks! Anyway thanks so much, justme! We\'ll have to wait and see if your nervousness is justified. ;-) (I\'m such a tease...)

I love how you bring up Pam’s presence in Jim’s mind when he’s been with other woman. His fantasy of Pam before they were together would have been impossible to live up to for Karen of Kathy. I think you show him moving on by being able to admit she may always be there but it doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Also having been with the real thing and not just the perfect fantasy girl would allow him to give Emily a fair chance.

Author's Response: Yes! I didn\'t want Jim to forget all about Pam, but I also didn\'t want him comparing the two women side-by-side (I mean, not literally ... you know what I mean). Anyway, Pam is always going to be a part of who he is, and that doesn\'t have to be a bad thing. And frankly, sexually speaking, I could see Pam having a few hang ups or insecurities. A fresh start with a confident, carefree sort of girl could be just what the doctor ordered? Maybe? Anyway, thanks for reading and taking the time to review!

Summary: Pam breaks off yet another engagement.

After a summer in New York Pam gets a new perspective on things, and marriage is no longer first on her agenda.

I think you broke my heart in one sentence.

“I WAS part of something extraordinary”

Author's Response: Thanks, and I\'m sorry ;) Thank you for leaving feedback.
