What a wonderful story! Normally I'm not a huge AU fan, but even though so much has changed, it doesn't feel AU, if that makes sense. Even though you've created a whole new world, you've written Jim and Pam so well and they remain the same characters we fell in love with, no easy accomplishment! Your grasp of the characters is on par with the best writers on this site.

My friend, what a lovely story. It was a pleasure to read and a blast to brainstorm. Your characterization is fantastic. You've writing of Pam and her shy nervousness is spot-on, as well as Jim, who is treading carefully but unwilling to let the moment go. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Maybe I can convince you to write some more... hmm... brainstorming...
