Yup, it’s a post-Cocktails fic! With a bit of a twist. Karen does a bad thing, and Jim is about to suffer the consequences…Ugh freaking Karen JUST GO BACK AND STAND ON THE STOOP! lol. Man, MAN!!! Ok, I have to tell you...you're writing makes me feel like I do when I'm actually watching the show and I'm SO into it and then the phone rings. KAREN is like my phone ringing. It must be stopped and whoever is on the other end must be held accountable for their actions! lol. OH man I do love this story! I can NOT wait for the next installment. I LOVED when Jim just snapped and let Roy have it. Can't wait for THE TALK between Jim and Pam!

Oh LoveFool, I LOVE your reviews. I'm glad that you enjoyed the Jim punch. I really debated letting Jim do that, but in the end it seemed less likely to have him not punch Roy. Heh. And the talk... oh, it's going to be a rough one. I already have it planned out in my head :)

Oh man, I don't think I've ever heard that turn of phrase before, but boy do I like it! How awesome is this story!!!! And this was just a great chapter. I have to tell you it's near impossible for people to make me feel sympathy for Karen, but YOU my dear actually succeeded in that! And Jim's realization that he was in fact using her, was just priceless. I do think that Jim is really unaware of the fact that he's doing that - so I can totally imagine him having that "i'm an ass" reaction when it finally hits him. Needless to say I can not WAIT for the chapter we've all been waiting for! ;-) GREAT WORK

Well, this is my last week of classes before finals start, so naturally all of my term papers are due this week. Boo. But I'm determined to finish this up in the next two weeks (meaning finish all remaining chapters-- i think 2 more) because I'm leaving for Europe in two weeks and won't be able to write again until I get back a month later.
"How he hesitated 100 times but didn't let her hesitate even once." Ok, I literally GASPED when I read that. That was just so profoundly stated, and something I never really thought about from that angle. Just a wonderfully candid view of how things went down and I'm glad Pam got to vent. It seemed to me that Jim wanted to be the one to vent and then wanted her to be the one to just admit that she was in love with him too. I'm glad we got so much more out of it than that. They deserved a scene with this level of honesty. LOVED IT. I can't wait to see what happens now that they've been so honest...hmm...a little lovin?

You are so right about JIm. He had the talk all planned out in his head, and Pam was *not* cooperating, which-- good for her, right? They definitely had to have a "fight" before... well, you'll see in the next chapter!

What an awesome ending for an awesome story! First off, Dwight arriving was PERFECT. I have imagined Dwight sleeping with a HAM radio (not that I've imagined Dwight in bed - I just realized how yuck that sounded). But the dialogue here between jim and dwight and then dwight and pam was just spot on and freaking HILARIOUS. I laughed out loud several times. And then of course Jim showing up at Pam's place - just not being able to be away from her for one more minute - perfect. Oh how I enjoyed this story! Can't wait for the epilogue. You rock!
::sigh:: Shan this was such a good story! Man you had us on the edge of our seats from the beginning. It's nice to see them get to be together here and just be happy and "exhale". That line about glowing in the dark belly button made me laugh out loud. So, so good...have a GREAT trip and be sure to think of some JAM stories while you're gone!

I LOVED THIS SO MUCH. There was just something so beautifully simple about this. Just completely "graceful". Pun completely intended. I especially loved the idea that Jim can sing well. I always think about JKras on Ellen and how for the first few seconds you could tell he was a good singer, and then he was totally making light of it and making fun of himself. I can see Jim doing the same. GREAT story. Getting "favorited" as we speak.
Author's Response: Favorited - hooray! Yeah, from the little bits we've heard, I think he could sing reasonably well and I like the idea of him only doing it 'for real' in quiet private moments. Moxie, what the heck do I even say? First of all I just want to say thank you for giving us such a gift! Seriously, I know it sounds corny but during a season that was so full of angst, you don't know how many times this story just made me smile and laugh out loud and sigh, when the show wasn't doing that. Thank you, thank you, thank you so so so much for this story. It was unique and fun and just provided so much entertainment for so many of us. This last chapter did not disappoint in any way. It was well worth the wait. Seriously...those pants alone made it a gem (along with many other things). Thanks again! I can not wait to read the sequal!!!
Loved this for so many reasons, but I wanted to take a moment to point out how AWESOME your dialogue between Jim/Oscar/Kevin was! Man, just SO right on and I can soooo see them betting on something like how long Jim/Karen would last. It totally read like canon. I can't wait to see what happens on Jim and Pam's date!

I LOVE so much about the things that this fic chooses to be <Michael>. Where to start - really? Well first off, I FINALLY have a theory as to who Vexin is, so I'm really stoked about that. Up until now I hadn't thought of any valid ones...but I think I got one! Aside from that, LOVE the Wedding Singer reference. I own that movie and a couple of months ago I was watching it and thinking how it was totally JAM. And now...with the pictures! What the heck is Jim gonna do! And is Pam really just wanting to see if there are indeed other "squirrels" in the sea as it were, or is she on to him??? Oh man...you've completely hooked me with this!
