I was so excited to see an update to this story! I loooove the grocery store scene. Jim's silent hopefulness about their future while keeping up the banter (love when he answered, "okay, crazy") is wonderful and incredibly in-character.
Thank you thank you thank you for more NY Penny. I love her empathy and wisdom in this chapter; you can be tough AND opinionated AND empathetic AND a caretaker. You captured that balance beautifully.
"You do too snore" Bahaha! GREAT!
This line: "It was too much and just what she needed all the same." Man, if that doesn't describe Pam on a normal day, much less with a traumatic brain injury.
Every single word of that last paragraph was great. It left hope without rushing to that happy ending.
I really enjoy the chapters where she has these small revelations that are positive and warm her up, moving that needle a little closer. And, really, who isn't a sucker for Patient Jim, right?

So, I love this chapter in its entirety but I have to point one thing that really stands out as exceptional. Everything prior to Roy showing up at Pam's parent's house is supposed to have this quiet, calm, stoic cadence and I FEEL that in your writing. I don't know if it's the word choice or the intimacy of Jim putting on Pam's makeup or the calmness of the office but, whatever it is, I really got that sense of calm just reading it. Very impressive!

Now...about Roy and that video. I don't know if I'm mad at Roy or thankful or annoyed but that was really good stuff. That ending "I didn't see you" got me. Hard.

I absolutely love how you painted such a vivid picture of Stamford and their reunion there without making it long and drawn out. It was the perfect amount of pain and hope and a spectacular parallel to present-day Jam.

Man, AG, Pam WOULD have this wave of guilt and intensity at this point. And you wrote Jim's response just perfectly. So many little word choices really show us how hopeful they both are in a very scary situation. I keep scrolling back through to find an example of this and then I just get caught up each time in how perfectly it's all written.

I know this story is likely starting to wrap up but I REALLY hope we get to see Penny again. (I really love how you wrote her in this story.)

So...I read this a few months ago but it took me that long to cool down before I could leave a review. Every. Single. Word. They're all just perfect. I mean, it's definitely hot, but I love how there is this intimacy and desperation (they've been surviving on quickies!!) and new beginnings and after ALL that they've been through for 10+ years, it's like they deserve this wonderful new life. And we deserve this masterpiece of emotional, fluffy, smutty, bearded goodness that I will forever love. Oh, and the ending when he apologizes and she won't let him is just...exquisite. Thank you for this!

I love everything about this chapter. As I reread, I kept thinking "Oh, this part is my favorite," but then there would be the next scene and THAT was my favorite. Okay, a few highlights for me:
When he walks in and sees her passed out so he changes her, washes her comforter, etc.
Her falling asleep mid-coitus was fantastic, but especially 1) Jim's reaction AND 2) HOW Jim knows she's fallen asleep.
And that shower scene was something else. Aye aye aye.
How do you write smut so perfectly AND romantic???

Apologize. For. Nothing. That title is perfection and oh-so-applicable.

First of all, Money is one of my all-time favorite eps, so thank you for filling in where the episode couldn't.

I love how they start with a little flirtatious banter and Pam being all saucy and going for it. Go, Pam!

And then that was, well, perfectly written. Is it terrible that I briefly thought, "Hm? I wonder if Angela is loud? Will Dwight even know what THAT sounds like?"

Ah, and poor Jim is still probably a little insecure and wondering during inopportune times about Roy and Pam and...this aspect of their relationship. Thankfully that was fleeting.
And, I'm sorry, did you say TWELVE 12 t-w-e-l-v-e more chapters?!?! Okay, thank you I'm just going to die now.

I, for one, am thankful for your SIL and wine (for you AND me) on this holiday. And this fic!! There’s so much going on in this chapter, but I’m going to try and mention all that I love.
I mean, how could I not mention that little movie moment or that, um, sangria-induced pit stop? Because those were steamy and saucy and lovely.
But my favorite thing in this chapter is how you showed their families being so different in ways that were equally enjoyable and uncomfortable. I mean, that’s the holidays with family, right?? I think you really did a great job of showing how Pam and Jim’s roots made them who they are (again, for better and worst).
The best was absolutely Jim’s moment of gratitude at the Beesly table. I mean... That was just lovely.
Thank you for this little treat on Thanksgiving. And thank your sister-in-law, too!

When Jim took her calendar I got all warm and fuzzy inside. I love little moments of hope in post apocalypse stories. And apparently Pam was a little hopeful, given her choices from their supply run. Go on, Pam!
I also have to say, I appreciate how you addressed casually but without too much detail how there is a lot of, um, faculties that are not addressed in post apocalyptic movies. 😂
