I'm so loving this story. Your pacing and dialogue are SO wonderful. The little details you throw in make me feel like I'm THERE. But that Jim-Dwight banter? Oh my god, it is PERFECTION! Seriously. Standing ovation for that exchange about sprites and fairies and elves.

DA, I just really loved this whole story. You took such good care of the characters through something really rocky AND kept them true to canon. So wonderful.
I really appreciate that Roy wasn’t given this entire halo or horns effect. You really painted, especially toward the end, such an accurate picture of Roy, even in canon.

This story. THIS story. Oh my god! This Story is so amazing. You maintain the Queen of Holiday Fics, and this kind of story is why you will never be dethroned.

Here are a few of my favorite things:
- I love how you pull in a believable Not Office Pam. Cause don't we all have Work Self and Play Self and often those are very different? She's sexy and playful but still sweet and warm.

- You wrote lines that I would never dare to put in writing and you know what I mean and I love you for it and it's perfection and I could keep this going but YOU KNOW WHAT YOU SAID...

-Look, I could spend hours on the nonaggressive power dynamic for 9 seasons of The Office. You have the ability to sum it up in one sexy scene and I've never loved you more for being able to pull complex emotion into perfect, hot smut.

So, here's what you do. You take something a little absurd (trying to pass Jim as Roy; same costume at the same party) and you make it something we all go, "Oh that COULD happen!" This gift you have to look at canon and go, hey we're gonna swerve here, and JUST LIKE THE SHOW it works perfectly. It's a gift you bless us with. Please don't ever stop.

This review made my day, so thank you! I’m so glad you liked this! I’m also glad you think there’s a difference work Pam and Play Pam. I always remember that in the “fashion show at lunch!” episode, in one of the talking heads she says “now I remember why I dress the way I do at work.” So maybe this is how she dresses out of work?

And okay, we definitely need to have a long conversation on the power dynamic of the show sometime.

I mean...
He drags her back into the apartment by her...snaps. I gotta say, I will forever appreciate that you commit to a theme. :)

And when she says, "Come back here and fuck me like a real man” I DIE every time I read it. (And I've read it too many times for it to be healthy.)

I keep finding the Right Way to explain what I love about this dynamic but after rereading it over and over (again, too many times for it to be healthy) I realized this was it:
"He is no doubt stalking his prey. And I am it."

Right. Because I forgot. You're trying to kill me.

And then there's that ending where she keeps saying "stay." straight. in. my. heart.

Seriously, you have no idea how much I love and appreciate that you took our relentless BEGGING and merciless DEMANDS (while giving us only a little bit of sass and the occasional threat to pull all of your work) and turned it into this gift. Your talent is amazing but your Fandom Friendship is even better. ;) Thank you, thank you thank you!

Oh. My. God. I am in love with this premise! I’m always down for a butterfly effect story, and this one has me on the edge of my seat. Honestly it is sadly realistic that Pam might fall into this bad habit of engaging Roy. Well done and I look forward to more!

I really, REALLY want more of this. I have so many Thoughts. I’m worried about these little clues you’ve established in this world, but I’m so hooked on where you’re going to take them.

Scenes like this were created for writers like you.

First of all, EVERYTHING here is so realistic and in character that I am 100% committing this to canon. It's not even UP for negotiation.

Can I just say that I appreciate how you always give us a line or two to take away and carry with us forever? Cause when Jim says, "But apparently, I’m not allowed to be happy anymore” I immediately fell in love with this fic.

And you didn't miss a single beat of capturing every second of those deleted scenes but gave us so many original moments. That unspoken reconciliation was just too good for words. And that moment in the parking lot - well, BOTH parking lots ;) - so well done.

I have seen that sequence of deleted scenes too many times to count and my imagination would never take me where I wanted to go. Here. Here is where I apparently wanted to go. So thank you. SO perfectly them, so perfectly written.

PS. I did a literal spit take when they pulled into the Kohl's parking lot. I didn't know it was really going to happen. Kohl's cash IS like gold.

So many moments in this chapter I said, “Oh my god” audibly, but none as loud as when I realized they were going to BANG IN DARRYL’S TRUCK. Oh. My. God.

I need you to watch ALL of the deleted scenes because you keep giving us these gems. So clever and who doesn’t love makeup sex?! And that title and ending 😂😂😂 Well done!

I didn’t expect to get this little gem so soon! The premise is just perfection. I can’t wait to see where you take us because it’s a guaranteed roller coaster. (Also wanna talk about that little Ryan line you slipped in?? I see you. 😉)

There are so many things I love about this chapter. (Mostly that you spent so much time on the WS website conducting "research.") But I really love that you have this PoWeR to make me hate Jim Halpert. And not only that, but I'm looking forward to hating him MORE. I love the direction you took this, the way the characters are so clever and unique but clearly aligned to their canon characterizations. When he pulled out that tape I was *giddy* with excitement. I'm thrilled about where this is going.

Oh, man. I love this whole premise and love to see where it's going.

You always capture the Pam/Roy dynamic in such a real way. There's this real understanding about why this was so complex for Pam, really defining why she couldn't just bail on Roy even when Jim is It for her. But this line in particular:
"It was love brought on by comfort and routine and duty. With one kiss, Jim had shown her a love of passion and heat and desire. "
It's so right and so good and please don't ever stop shining light on this complex piece of Pam.
