i absolute love your writing. I know how hard it must to write these characters with only small clues as to how they might react in such an outwardly emotional situation like this, but I think that you do an great job of staying true to form. Especially with Karen and Pam. Keep up the good work! Can't wait to read more...

Author's Response: Oh! That's so nice of you to say! It is sort of difficult to imagine how these characters would react in a dramatic situation like this, so I really appreciate your constructive compliments :)

just read through it all for the very first time. I think that it's safe to say that I'm looking forward to the next installment about as much as I am for the next new office, and even more than the 7th Harry Potter, and really, that is saying something.

I'm so impressed with your creativity. What a brilliant way to capture both of their perspectives and yet tease us with the new distance (as well as closeness) or their new predicament.  Not only does this method keep it believable, but your interweaving of the other characters keeps it real as well. I love it. Truly a fanfic masterpiece.

Hey Moxie, still loving this story, and I am once again on the edge of my seat and extremely excited about the next chapter. Once again looking forward to it as much if not more than the final harry potter.

I hate to do this, and hopefully it's taken as the friend who tells their friend there is something in their teeth, rather than someone who doesn't know one that well commenting on the fact that they've gained some weight... With that in mind, I will say that this was my least favorite of the chapters thus far and I'm admittedly a little disappointed. I know that this scene needed to happen and that Karen's role in all of this could not be taken lightly. But, she reacts so strongly that the emphasis of the story has almost completely shifted into a different story all together. It is an interesting twist but as a lover of what has happened in this story thus far I was not remotely ready for Karen to come to the forefront and become the giant menace that will now cloud the rest of what was a so much more interesting and subtle storyline between Jim and Pam. I believe that "subtle" is the key word, and this chapter is jerking, raw and passionate. It feels a little like you asked Michael Creighton's Disclosure to ghost write for Fitzgerald in the middle of For Whom the Bell Tolls and I am walking away shaken and confused. Not to say that raw and passionate are not important, it is just to say that given the stream of the story thus far (jim and pam were a moment ago falling newly and sweetly cyber in love and talking about miss congeniality), this very real confrontation was a little too soon. Nothing more, nothing less. Thanks for the story!

thank goodness for fluff. we (and they) deserve a lot of it, and I will love every second. Brilliant idea with the tasks, can't wait to see what Loiken says when he finds out about Jim.

Summary: "He manages to crack a smile but it’s half-hearted and Karen can see his mouth part slightly, the speech he’s been practicing on the way over becoming more and more visible." Karen's POV.

loved the writing and your attention to detail. I like what you were able to omit from the ending and still have enough development in the characters to lead us to resolution. It is easy for me to imagine Jim walking easily to his car with a light step, and it is easy to feel Karen's pain as she continues to toss the salad.

 Very well done.

Author's Response: Thank you so much, I'm really glad you enjoyed it!
