It's odd that being in love with the same person seems to have brought them even closer together. Pam and Karen the night of the Christmas party. Spoilers through A Benihana Christmas. An AU look at what might have happened, had Pam really thought about Jim's decision to go to Australia.Jim receives a gift the day after Christmas. And then another one the next day. And again for the 10 days after. Is it a joke, or has his True Love come forward? This is my take on Pam's motivation for leaving the wedding with Roy. Only Pam and Roy are in this story, but I am very much in the Jim/Pam camp so it is safe for JAM fans too. I know I have been absent for awhile. This episode pushed me out of hibernation. Per nomadshan's planting the irresistible notion in my head of writing an Out of Control Jim story (along with encouragement from other posters at TWoP - you know who you are).... This is an exploration of what could happen if (when?) Jim and Pam were pushed to the point of losing all control.

Pam begins to get used to the fact that Jim needs her advice on things whenever he and Karen fight.
Jim and Pam. Tropical elopement. You do the math. Post Return. 'Like time machines are real and he just went back a year and things are okay.' This is along the same lines as my other Away From the Cameras, in the sense that I'm exploring scenes that might have happened off-camera (or simply those that we didn't get to see).
A few things: First, I'm working on the assumption that a lot of what I wrote in the AFtC for season II stands (though I likely won't reference any of it here), up until Casino Night. (Clearly I was quite off about what happened after the kiss...heh.)
Second, there will be flashbacks filling in the blanks of what happened immediately after CN (how long did Jim work? how did he and Pam ultimately leave things? how did she end things with Roy? how did Jim find out about her cancelling the wedding?); the flashbacks will happen largely in the chapters pre-merger (to keep things interesting for Jim/Pam fans during their physical separation).
A series of drabbles, set after Back From Vacation (with some slight spoilers) and deviating from there. Pam makes Jim face the same difficult decision (and consequences) that she had to deal with.
