Author's Response: Yeah, the 'ready?' has always gotten me. So, I decided to add it in this story because heck, for over the past year...Jim hasn't asked Pam if she was ready. Since they've both taken new steps for eachother, I think it was time to intiate the 'ready?' again. Ahhh..such a wonderful sentiment. THanks for reading and reviewing!
Guh, that was great. I starting feeling really anxious at the end there wanting Jim to hurry up and get into the building and bust open that door! I am all about stream of consciousness fic, and this was a wonderful one :)

This oneshot is based on a prompt at TWoP to write a fic based on a screen shot from Gay Witch Hunt showing that Jim has a note stuck to his monitor reading, "Smile!" This is what I imagine he was thinking when he looked at it. Oh, so, spoilers for Gay Witch Hunt, sort of.
This detail from the show might be my favorite little background thing ever. It's just so poignant and perfect. I really liked that Jim's plastered on smile confused Andy, who, let's face it, is the master of said smiles.

Jim's life for years revolved around wanting something he could not have. What happens when Jim finally gets everything he ever wanted? Takes place the Monday after "The Job." Jim is with Pam. Karen returns to Scranton.
I really like the possibilities of the post-Karen aftermath that you laid out here. I hadn't thought of them before but they make a lot of sense. I'm so interested in how the writers are going to deal with all of that in the fall.

Other than "GUH" and "HOT", I would like to add that it is hilarious that you made Jim a drooler in his sleep. Because you just know that he is.
Jim's sham relationship is over. True love has carried the day once again. Karen doesn't take it at all well. Not your typical Office fic, and I mean it.
Since you enjoy killing fan favorites so much, you should make it into Clue and make it a guessing game. And yes, Karen is crazy as a loon, I don't care what anyone says.
