If you want to be a little more selective in who continues it, you can tag your story as adoptable in the Genre dropdown then in the notes somewhere state your adoption terms, more Details in FAQs

Hey Steve, theres 2 options for you. It’s not an often used feature here but you can select “round robin” when you submit your story, that allows anyone to pick it up and post the next chapter

I wrote the opening scene years ago, but I've never found a way forward that I like. So my idea is to write the first chapter, then immediately put it up for adoption. Has anyone tried this before
