My "500 days" fic is looking more and more likely, isn't it? Heee.
This is so good. Pam fumbling with the wine bottle is such a vivid, real moment- exactly what happens when we're stressed and sick and bone-weary. Love this.
Author's Response:
Oh Lis. I hope you don't mind when I say I didn't want it to be. When I started counting I began to get really depressed.
I live alone - so I've fumbled with my share of wine bottles and have had to call in for reinforcements just so I can change a light bulb.
Pam's reaction on this night is what mine might be. I'm so glad it rang true for you too.

Hugs,
This is great and just what we need right now after such a tough episode for Pam. I love how you kept poor Pam feeling sick with her cold. And Pam wasn't the only one holding her breath when she dropped the lid to her precious teapot! I also love all the lines about "The Kiss." Like Pam, we all believe that the Kiss was a sacred moment for Jim and Pam, and its significance should not be minimized.
Looking foward to the next installment!
Author's Response:
The way Karen said that line killed me. And Pam's reaction would have been mine. In my mind, Pam's goal each day is to just get through it - to connect with Jim in some way if she can. She looks for subtle ways because a) she likes Karen and b) knows if she'd just answered him differently way back when things would be different. And don't get me started on Jim - 'cause he's just as bad as she is.
Thank you for taking the time to give me your thoughts. It means so much to me.

This episode was so hard for me to watch--Pam was so stinkin' awkward and it made me nervous. I love what you've done with this. It's completely her character to go home and do this sort of thing.
And if you actually counted all those days, kudos. I'll just take your word for it. :)
Author's Response:
Pam just killed me - coupled w/Jenna's cold which oddly made it even better for me. I just got over the world's worst cold and I couldn't feel more awful. I'm so glad you liked my little "afterwards."
PS I did count 'cause I'm anal like that. :)
