Great fic. I really like your writing style- there's something so quiet and pretty about it. I love the part contrasting how Jim and Roy see Pam- Roy only realizes that she's beautiful once she's in the dress, but Jim knew it all along. Very sweet.

That was very sweet, and felt authentic to the way Pam's mind works on the show -- how she's lying to herself, but how she also seems to be clever enough to know she's doing it. I look forward to reading more from you!

aww this was really cute! I liked that it's different :)

Author's Response: Thank you! I couldn't really see more chapters with this, once I broke the theme, but I'm definitely going to be doing more writing.

So... you're going to give us another chapter or 10, right??
Author's Response: Aw, no, this was a oneshot, but I think I'll be writing more, just not with this story.

Yay! It does seem like Pam to blame the dress. Anyway, I liked the "everyone but the only one" image, because I agree that Jim knows how beautiful she is already.
Author's Response: Definitely - he doesn't need a special dress to see how lovely she is. Thanks!

This is your sister and I am so very proud of you. Who knew my little sister was a better writer than I could ever hope to be? I can't wait to see what you decide to write next!
Author's Response: Thanks, sis. You're sweet.

i haven't gotten around to going through the most recent fics today, but i just saw this pimped on your sisters journal, and woo! it's really good! i really loved the whole don't blame it on the dress note, it's a very pam and jim joke to make.
Author's Response: Yay for my sis. Again - thanks for building this site, we love it :)

Wow. I'm so glad that you decided to post this. I love the idea of Pam trying to place the blame for the things that happen in her life on a dress. And wonderful ending. I do hope you plan on writing more soon.
Author's Response: Gah, thank you! I definitely intend to.

I can't believe this is the first thing you've written in so long. It's wonderful. Without getting into details, I can remember a time when I was particularly dressed up and a guy I liked paid extra attention to me, and I convinced myself that it was just the way I looked that night, so this really spoke to me.
Author's Response: Yeah, the real keepers are the ones that notice you when you look your worst. Thank you for the review, this has been such a positive experience, it's really inspired me to go ahead and write more.

This was wonderful. And not in the least bit wonky. Can't wait to see more from you.
Author's Response: Thank you, I'm glad it's not wonky. I can't wait to see more from you, either.

That was fantastic. I really hope you'll write again soon!
Author's Response: Thank you! I definitely plan to.

I love the way you kept repeating "she blamed the dress". What a lovely story and what a wonderful ending. I can't believe it's your first fic. I hope we see more from you - and soon!
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I'm glad you liked it.

This had a much happier ending than I was expecting. I ended up smiling. Nice characterization!
Author's Response: That is a lovely thing to hear, thank you.

"Pam Beesly, emphasis on Beesly" - perfect way to sign. Good one!
Author's Response: It seemed very.. Pam... to me. Anyway, thank you.

"Every one except for the only one, and his tongue was silent, but he looked at her like he had always known who she was..." Beautiful (and true!) and your description of Jim opening the package and card was perfect. Great first fic! Now write more!
Author's Response: I can't begin to explain how nervous I was to post this. Thank you for the review, you're one of my favorite JAM authors.
