Ohhhh, you are so sweet!  Sorry it's taken me so long to review this, I've been switching up my internets and getting a new computer.  First of all, I love you forever for the Clerks reference, the number 37 will always be dirtier to me than 69.  This is sweet and hot and what a wonderful job!  I know how hard (heee) slash can be to write, and you did so good. :)  I'm so proud.

Ooh, this was great! I love how Jim is struggling between thinking of DW as "the CFO" vs just "a guy", and the Karen = Glenn Close reveal, and I think the slashiness fit in quite well with the confusion Jim's feeling throughout - just a moment of comfort, connection, and then - like it never happened. And excellent last line!

This is amaaaaazing! [/Kelly] I love the 2 min. theme and the way David shifts from the CFO to just a guy, and the parallels between him and Jim. Excellent fic.

In a row?

I love you SO MUCH for writing this. You did a great job keeping it believable and at the same time keeping us in touch with Jim's almost-detachment from what was going on, always calling him the CFO and wondering if this was DM's version of the casting couch and how to open someone's belt buckle.

"Jim turns his head and finds himself yet another someone’s no one in particular." Excellent line.

Thank you for this!

Oh WOW.

WOW.

This is just amaaaaazing.  I'm pretty much reduced to non-coherent babble at the moment.  Excuse me for a while, and I'll be back to leave proper feedback?

Oh thank you thank you for a truly beautiful, spectacular Jim/CFO.  (How perfect is Jim thinking of him as those initials, and realizing it, and trying to think of him as David, and then falling back to CFO after their kiss?  Wow, your Jim characterization couldn't be any better.  And it was such an excellent choice to have David know things that Jim hasn't learned yet, about life, and have David give him advice based on that.)

I'll be back later with more coherent feedback.

Holy crap!  I enjoyed that way more than I thought I was going to.  Okay, that's a lie.  I pretty much knew it was going to be hot and I was going to love it.  You didn't disappoint.

This line:

Jim turns his head and finds himself yet another someone’s no one in particular.

Really struck me as brilliant. Talented = You

I thought you really made this work.  I love how Jim keeps calling him "the CFO" in his head, especially since I can never think of him any other way.  Good job!

Yeah, real funny.  Hah.  Hah.

Great line! I actually liked this alot and will now have to go back to get the Clerks reference. How did I miss that?

UHM. I would post one of my lengthy reviews, but you know they don't work when my brain's stopped functioning. Damn. There goes proofing maths, too...

I knew I wasn't the only one seeing Jim/CFO vibes all over the place. So I loved this.

Loved the repeated two-minute thing, loved being able to glare at Karen [WOO. liar!], loved that this never bordered on OOC-ness: it seemed like it was a natural transition from what was happening before. Does that make sense?

And the ending? Oh. That's good. Made me grin all over. Jim/Pam all the way, thank you!

Niiiiiiiiceeee, DickinFlicka - a longer niicee than usual because this just deserves it. ;)

Glenn Close? Hahahaha!  Hmm...well, maybe not so funny.  And she DID sleep with the CFO...knew it, the Tramp!

This was so good; damn that cellphone...even though it was Pam.  I liked how Wallace wants Jim to do what makes him happy...

Thanks for this DF!  And kudos for your first "slashy" fic!

This was so taut and specific - really well written. Loved the repeated 2 minute motif. You nailed (no pun, I swear) a certain quality in Jim - all at once a resignation and edge and wit and boyishness and even hopefulness. Not to mention, of course, hotness. And Karen - exactly: what was that?

Wow.  So, this is fun!

I don't catch a Clerks reference, but I only saw it once and wasn't paying that much attention, so...

Karen as Glenn Close - oh, yeah.  Jim wondering "how the fuck you open someone else’s belt buckle" - PRICEless!  Oh, and of course the casting couch line - excellent.

I liked how Jim's inner voice was a bit raunchy.  Hmm... goes off (TWSS) to think about that for a while.

I had lots of fun reading this.  I wonder what would have happened if the phone hadn't hummed?  You know, the CFO was is kinda cute.

Thanks for this.

Okay, had to come back and review this. Amazing - simply amazing.  While I hate to say that I'm not a slash fic! girl (because that sounds pejorative and dismissive, and that's not my intent at all), I can say that I'm not an anything but Jim and Pam girl.  ...Which means that, while I'm certainly open to reading (and writing) other pairings, they generally don't move me the way the J/P ones do.

That said: Pitch perfect here.  It's not gratuitous or OOC; this comes off as completely believable - erotic, poignant, and with so much heart.

Bravo, girl!  I'm convinced that there is just nothing you can't do.   Making me love Jim as a coke addict, and now this?

You're incredibly talented, DF. :o)

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice [/kev]

I apologize for that. It had to be done.

Seriously, this was very nice. I liked the CFO a lot, and feel like he and Jim made a real connection that night. Probably not a romantic connection, but that doesn't mean I wasn't uber-excited to see that someone had take up the Jim/CFO challenge.

And fantastic ending, by the way. Really good.

Author's Response: Thank you shan! I figured I may as well tackle my first slash fic... maybe eventually I can pursue my dream of writing Jim/Ryan... drool.  Oh, and I can't wait for the next installment of T&C winkwinknudge.

OMG, the Clerks shout-out!  I totally caught it!  "In a row?"  "Hey, try not to suck any **** on the way out!"

And I love that Jim calls him the CFO in his head.  Hee!

Author's Response: I'm so glad you caught it! Hehe, it was a last minute addition I just couldn't resist ;) Thanks for the review!

OMG.  I'd be shocked at Jim/CFO slash being written in my honor....but, come ON, this is so awesome, it's like the greatest pick me up (TWSS) EVER!

Plus we have confirmation that Karen is a) psycho AND b) a ho.  What more could you ask?

Author's Response: Yes, you are my muse on this one, like it or not ;) Also?  I laughed for at least a minute (out loud, but I won't do the annoying abbreviation here) after reading this review!
