Ok, in-control Pam turning Ryan on? Amazing. Especially in light of the fact that Jim is all caveman about the whole thing...I love all the little bits that add up and are just YES Ryan and Pam right this very minute Jim who?
Oh, and your Angela voice in this? Wins first place for all of time forever. It's perfect and you've captured that ineffable dynamic between her and Pam and I love the parallels of the Dwight/Angela and it is killing me. (Heeee and the evolution debate is AMAZING.)
Oh, and also: sloppy drunk hot Ryan is just so...stupendous.
Things with Roy had been convenient, yes, but never exactly easy in any respects except for the bedroom. And things with Jim... did she even have something with Jim? Could she call it that? Whatever it was, it wasn't easy and, for the past year or so, practically nothing had actually made sense to her.
That part you added made me so very happy. Just...perfect.
Plus, DO NOT BE NERVOUS. Trust me, I would have told you if the explicitness was bad and it was the opposite of that. I don't throw around terms like "one of the best I've ever read" lightly. You are a genius and I will hold your hand electronically when you post your gloriously sexy next chapter. So there.

Hee, I love love love your reviews, they make my day! So please don't worry about them being long ;) Jim who? Indeed. I'm so glad you said that about the Angela voice because I was nervous about that bit especially (she's hard to write without going over the top--and you do it so well!) Oh, and I'm trying not to be nervous about the next chapter and you're comments on it totally saved me from becoming a nervous wreck! I'm working on the next chapter which should hopefully be chock full of adorable ;)
PS. 69Con and I decided that maybe we need to invent a fake University (Benjamin Joseph U.?) and invite BJ to come do stand-up, and then when he shows up we just, you know... lock the door. Its a flawless plan! Hahah.

Really, though, I can't get over my newfound fascination with Ryan/Pam. I love that they gave up on hiding the affection. Oh! Pam standing up to the bartender - amazing! And this:

My laptop's completely busted and I feel super creepy reading fic on my roommate's computer, but I HAD to check for updates, and when I saw there were two chapters I hadn't seen I couldn't not read them. CAN THERE BE MORE NOW? PLEASE? Seriously, between the shoulder kissing and the MAKING OUT and Jim and Pam in the supply closet and Pam standing up to the bartender [and Ryan finding it TOTALLY HOT, which it was, while Jim went into protector mode] and Ryan coming out of the bathroom all "good talk" and - MY FAVORITE PART -

I totally never expected people to be into the Pam/Ryan ship (I thought I was all by my lonesome on that boat!) so I didn't expect this story to garner much attention, its crazy! Maybe the Jim/Pam angst is just getting a little stale, I would really like to see Pam happy in any respects, no matter who its with. There will be more today so thank you!

I think it's because I've read so much fic (good fic, too) about JAM and Pam/Roy, that it's refreshing and ultra hot to read about Pam with someone else. Okay, so now not only do you have me routing for Pam to end up with Ryan, but you actually have me liking Karen? I love this little bizarro universe you have created in which I can entertain such sacrilegious thoughts.
I like the way you write Ryan. He is so different from on the show yet very believable. I really think that he has a sweet/fun side that we don’t get to see in the office. We only see small glimpses of it here and there. When you had him kissing Pam’s neck at the table I got goose bumps!
. Oh, and Jealous Jim... soooooo Yummy! I’m not used to seeing him so Raw and testosterony... I can definitely get used to it. I need to know what Ryan and him talked about in the bathroom. Are you gonna clue us in later on in the story?

Jim wanting to kick the bartender's ass, and Pam doing the (verbal) ass kicking herself - awesome. And of course the snarky movie banter and the use of the last names between Ryan and Pam would SO drive Jim over the edge (as opposed to Ryan and Pam making out.) Because that's a Jim/Pam thing (like when Pam was crushed to see Jim and Karen pulling pranks.)
*sigh*
But I really think it will be Angela's comment, "I think you are about to upset the very delicate balance of this office," that will make Pam reexamine this whole Ryan thing. 'Course I could be totally wrong.
