Athena, I'm pretty much out of ways to praise this incredible story. It just exhausts me how deep and emotional and perfect it really is. I think you've created a really unique perspective on Jim in this fic, and you've brilliantly captured the emotions and reactions he would logically have to these situations. I always look forward to each new chapter, and there's nothing "sad" about speedy updates. They are the opposite of sad--they are puppies in springtime, chocolate lava cake, and each update, for a moment, makes me so happy that I feel like I'm watching a new ep of "The Office."
Keep up the great work, and I can't wait for more! -CH
Author's Response:
Well, I've been meaning to write you back, but hardly really come on here anymore. So, I wanted say that the best compliment I could ever have, is when you said that you get excited for this story the same way when new episode of The Office airs. That made my freaking day! You always say the neicest things, and I alwasy fail to return them. I've really wanted to check out your stories, but I just haven't found the time. But from what I've read so far, your a wonderful writer. And I also don't want you to feel like you have to leave really long reviews. Or even a review. I understand they can be kinda hard to write, but I'm thankful anyway. So, in short, thank you.
BTW, what does the CH in your name stand for?

Anthena, I've been following your story since I stumbled across it way before Christmas -- I think about the time the writer's strike began and I've been awaiting each new chapter with great anticipation. You are such a gifted writer. True, this story is dark and angsty (truthfully, I wouldn't even refer to it as angst as much as reality) and despair, but you've had a purpose and a goal throughout the whole story and it's believable.
I love that now you've woven this intriguing, dark story into a place where we can see light at the end of the tunnel. I think you've done this at just the right time as any earlier would have been too soon. Now that you've given us this little bit of light, I'm excited about where it will go next.
You've written an original, unique piece. It's real and it's vivid. You've done a great job. Keep the chapters coming.... quickly, please! :)

So good. The knot in my stomach is starting to loosen a bit. Looking forward to more.

I really loved this chapter. To see that Pam was making more progress than she had before made me so happy because I was getting frustrated with her at points in the story just because I want her to just get better and be with Jim :).
I loved the part where Jim got frustrated and kind of snapped at her, too. As bad as he felt and as much as he probably hurt her by doing so, I think that was something both of them needed. Plus, it led to the really sweet ending between them when she was leaving. The end of the chapter left a smile on my face, which is not something I expect when I open up this story to read. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the angst, but this little break from it was great. Okay, I'm done rambling now. Great job, Athena! I really love this story and I'm looking forward to your next update :).

Your story is so intriguing. You do such a wonderful job of relating to us Jim 's and Pam's innermost thoughts regarding this difficult issue. I waited with baited breath for this update. Please update again soon. This is truly one of the best fanfics I've read.

This story is amazing. I rarely cry, especially when reading stories, but your story is that emotional and I have shed some tears over the pain our Jim and Pam are going through. Please continue with your story - I am waiting anxiously for more!

This is a really well-done story. I felt like I owed it to the characters to keep reading, which is a sign of great writing! Thank you for bringing a situation like this to the forefront and approaching it with honesty and grace.

Okay, so I haven't really followed this story religiously, or really at all for that matter. But I decided to read this chapter and I have to say I'd disagree with you when you say that "it sucks. hard." It's actually pretty awesome. It makes the whole thing much more realistic and just...yea. I liked it a lot. I look forward to more!

Thank you so very much for this update. I usually read at work and this almost put me over the edge, such emotional writing. Can't wait for the next chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for the review! It means a lot!

You've cost my dearly its now about to be four and I'm sick as hell and have to actually go out tomorrow. But I saw that you had updated and I could not read. I even told me self to wait till tomorrow. didn't work. I usually go back and read the chapter before with the fics I like but I wasn't satisfied with that and had to read from the beginning. Jesus I love this fic so much. Just the writing and imagery is enough really. I could read this even if I had no idea who these characters were. alright now that I've praised you I'm off to bed.
Author's Response: You are just the sweetest person! I'm sorry that you're sick, but I'm glad that you enjoyed. Yeah, staying up that late isn't something I want to do again, but for you, I'll do it.

This story really emotionally affects the reader. The topic is serious, but it's realistic. It's very difficult to pull this topic off using the humorous and amusing characters of The Office, but you truly do an amazing job. I almost cry when I read certain parts of this fanfic. That's powerful.
Author's Response: What you wrote meant a lot to me, thank you! I'm glad that you are able to picture it happening to Jim and Pam because I would hope that I didn't stray OOC. Thanks again!

You have no idea how much I love this story. I just want to see Pam get better, so please, update soon!
Author's Response: Well, thank you! You have no idea how much I love getting nice reviews like yours. Pam's recovery, I hope it's a little easier to read than her depression. But some people like angst. . .like myself.

Aww, yay, progress!
Author's Response: Yay! Thanks for the review. Oh! And I also wanted to tell you that you're a really great writer!! Of the stories I've read, you do a great job.

Wow! That was really powerful.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed.

Wow...another great cheapter. I'm in awe of how you could write such great chapters each time you update. This was clearly a hard chapter, having Pam reveil those details of a terrible experience, especially to Jim. But as always you did a terrific job with it. Hope you keep typing along for another chapter.
This did not suck at all. I will be patientley waiting for more. Thanks!
Author's Response: Thank you for the review, and for liking it. It's like, I can breathe again when people are so nice about my writing. It's not perfect, but I'm still a little insecure about it.

Awww! Jim's so sweet. Poor Pam. :(
THis is selfish of me, but I'm glad you stayed up till 5 :P Great chapter, looking forward to the next.
Author's Response: LOL, lightbulb. I normally don't like staying until five, but, hey, If you've got the time, why not use it? Thanks for the review! YOU RULE!

Personally...I don't think it sucked so hard. I think it was really, really good. Man, I gotta tell you -- that moment when Jim finally heard "the story" in the middle of that group, I nearly lost it too. I can't even imagine. As heartwrenching as it is, I always look forward to an installment of this. When I saw it on the most recent page I nearly GASPED aloud! lol. I hope the next chapter comes out soon. :-)
Author's Response: I wasn't sure how I was going to write that moment. Sadly, it didn't come out how I wanted it to come out. But I couldn't think of anything else. Nonetheless, I'm happy that you enjoyed it. Thank you for looking forward to such a sad, sad story. I never ever would have thought that anyone would like this. Honestly, I thought I was going to get booed off the site. I was surprise at how welcoming you were about this. And I've really got to know a lot of authors and their own writing. You all are a very warm group. But you made my day with that review, as always!

I just sent you an e-mail privately, but I wanted to say this here.
Thank you.
If your story can convince one victim suffering in silence to seek the support of a loving and caring group of her peers, then you have provided a great service to mankind.
Author's Response: Oh, wow! I'm not. . .really sure what to say. I guess thaking you would be a good start. lol. But I enjoy your emails as much as your reviews. I not sure someone would seek help after reading this, but it would be wonderful if they did

heartbreaking but beautiful...I'm so glad to see this updated and I can't wait to read more and see how Pam continues to get better
Author's Response: Thanks for sticking with the story, JRAddict (how did you come up with that pen name?) It always makes my day when I get a review from you! Even if I don't always comment back (and believe me, I want to).

I was so excited to get an update to this! This is a great story and the best chapter yet. Can't wait to read more.

I was just wondering if this might be updated again. I really liked this chapter and I'm interested to see what happens next.

This story is heart-wrenchingly fantastic. I can't wait for each new chapter. Each is better than the last. I can honestly say this last chapter was the first time any kind of fanfic caused me to cry. Can't wait to cry again :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm always happy when I find out that each chapter didn't bomb. I've done that before with other stories, and it's kinda embarrasing when that's the best I can come up with. But thank you. And I love your pen name.

I don't know what you're talking about, I really like this chapter. Please try to update faster!

YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!! You updated! I'm so happy! And sad. This chapter was heart-breaking. But then again, they all are. You really are a wonderful writer, and you're dealing with this topic so well. You have no idea how many fanfictions attempt to deal with this subject and fuck it up somehow. They're almost perfect except for some fatal flaw. This story, however, in my opinion, is flawless. It's perfect. It's so real that it hurts and don't you doubt your quality of writing for a second. This chapter rocked. Hard.
And I can't wait for the update!!! Take all the time you need, because I know that it pays off into something amazing.
Author's Response:
Wow, what a nice review! You always say just the best things. And I love hearing your feedback. I've actually never read an Office-rape story. Are there many? You have given a lot of support, and that means a lot. I wish that I could actually find the time to go back and thank everyone, and I used to do that on FF.net. But it took waay too much time, and then I'd spark disscusions and arguments and suddenly the review board when be a message board. So. In short, thank you. LOL.
