Cute interpretation!
Author's Response: Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!

Hee! The "widow" Gould. Nice! I liked this bit:
"I got distracted by the cows outside, it looked like they were having a conversation, and I was wishing I could draw them."
Author's Response: Thanks! I figured there was no way in the world Jan could have gotten a divorce in 1877, and it's much fun to write her as the widow of Gould. Thanks for the bounty of reviews!

Oh, I loved this. I think I say that every time you update, but it's totally true. And it's fun to have the jump in time, so that she's 15 now. It makes me wonder how far you're going to take this. Nice job, as always, McGigi!
Author's Response: Thanks, Az! I realized that she was only 13 in the previous chapters, so I wanted to bump it up a little. And yes, there's still more to come!
Thanks for the reviews, as always!

Ha, the dead mouse. I love, love, love the way you are writing Michael in this story. It's hilarious and somehow spot-on. I may like him better than our perfect Jimbert. Can't wait to see what is next!
Author's Response: Thanks, Lis! Michael is so much fun to write I actually enjoyed this chapter a lot, even though I was looking at it as means to get to the next one. Don't worry, there'll be more Jimbert and Michael coming up soon!

she thought that this was a good day.
So sweet, such a lovely way to reference the show but remain in the realm of the books. I'm enjoying this so much!
Author's Response: Aww, thank you! I'm trying to be subtle in some places, so I'm glad you noticed that. :-)

I'm glad you decided to move these two into friendship sooner than LM Montgomery did with her two, since Pam and Jim's friendship is such a satisfying one.
I really enjoyed it!
Author's Response: Thanks, I'm finding that I have to condense a bit of LMM, since she's awfully wordy. It's easier to write them as friends, and you're right, they are a satisfying friendship pair.

So I hope you know already how a-MAY-zing you are. Because I could go on and on about you as a person, but I think the point of these is to review the chapter not the author.
In that light, let me just say that this was way too cute. I love that Jim and Pam are friends now and that they understand each other so well. And I really loved Angela and Meredith in this chapter. Your characters are such a good mix of the characters from both stories. It's really fun!
Author's Response:
Thanks sooo much, Azlin! I'm glad you're enjoying it, and I haven't blushed this much since Madam Pomfrey told me she liked my earmuffs...
Date: June 06, 2007 07:53 am Title: An Unfortunate Lily Maid
Aw, that was so sweet. And the falling in love begins...
Author's Response:
Oh yes it does...but she doesn't know it...
Thanks for reviewing!

Yay! I'm so glad to see this story is back! I missed it, and this chapter was even better than the last. The girls are all so cute playing the Lady of Shalott! And Jim was adroable, too. Hope you're feeling better!
Author's Response: I am feeling a bit better, thanks! I'm flattered that you missed it! I'm plugging away at it, slowly but surely.

My first and only thought reading this chapter was "Yay!" I just love this story. Oh, and I'm sorry you were sick...I hope you're feeling better!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I am feeling better, thanks. I'm glad you enjoy the story!

I'm sorry I missed this one earlier! It was just a delight, McGigi, and you did a terrific job of blending the two stories. I lift a glass of cherry cordial to you!
Author's Response: Thanks so much! This was my favorite chapter to write so far, and I must admit, I am having a good time. I'm glad you like it so much, I'm flattered!

"It might be good to keep it the way it is, though, because in the animal world, a bushy tail is a sign of readiness to mate. That might be good if you're looking for a beau."
That's just so....Dwight. Er, Dwighde. : )
Great job, on this whole story!
Author's Response: Thanks, I'm glad you like it! I love writing Dwighde. He's so much fun.

Old Man Bratton? Heee! Nice touch there, McGigi!
Author's Response: Thanks! I like the thought of Creed living in a shack in the woods. I may ahve to bring him back...

A small part of herself wanted to forgive him, especially when his voice cracked as he said her name.
Oh, Pammy. Whom among us is immune to The Crack?
(And that.. sounds dirty. Didn't mean to.)
I missed this chapter! Now I get to read a couple in a row! Yippee!
Author's Response: Oh, the Crack. She will learn in time that it is an amazing thing.
I'm glad you're enjoying the story!

I absolutely adore this. I love Anne of Green Gables. I actually own the movie and Anne of Avonle (Avonlea, how do you spell that?) and even though I don't watch them often, I still know it by heart.
I only wish you'd kept them with their real last names like you did with Bob and Phyllis (mainly Bob.) Especially Dwight. Though who could imagine a Kelly Kapur running around Avonle(?) LOL.
Either way, it's still brilliant. My only hope is that Pam doesn't go the way Anne did and make Jim wait as long as Anne did Gilbert. That (to me) was crazy. Did they ever get together. Oh man! I can't remember.
Next on my agenda: watch the movies again. LOL. I'm adding this to my favs, I can't wait to see more!! (Well I can, but I may not be overly happy about it. lol)
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I changed their names to reflect their Avonlea counterparts, since I was mainly keeping their Scranton personalities. I hope you enjoy the rest!

Wow, what an amazing job making both the book and the canon of the show work so well together! I absolutely loved this chapter, probably my favorite yet (because I love the Jim and Pam friendship building up). Aw, yay. This update made my day!
Author's Response: Oh, I'm so glad you like it! This review makes my day ;-)

OMG, the last day of school is the Dundies! Pam gets Second Drinks of current wine! This is hilarious, spot-on for both sets of characters, and an amazing way to keep synthesizing the two storylines. Thanks for the dedication!
Author's Response: You're welcome, and I'm happy that you like it! I write it for you people, after all...
Date: May 14, 2007 08:45 pm Title: Pam Is Invited To Tea With Tragic Results
That was awesome! I loved how you tied the dundies and the currant wine together :-) Fine work! *Claps*
Author's Response: I'm very excited to get a 'fine work'! Last time it was 'great work' ;-)
I'm so glad you like it!

I've been avoiding reading this because I could never get through the real Green Gables books and an Office adaptation sounded, honestly, ridiculous. You pulled this off so beautifully and I am now eagerly awaiting more. It is a lovely style, sweet and true. I find that I don't mind re-living fandom moments, though they often bother me in AU fics, because this has such an original flavor. I eagerly await more. Thanks for writing!
Author's Response: Wow, this is a huge compliment- I felt the same way when I first thought of it, I generally don't read AU fics all that much, though there are a few I love dearly. Thanks so much for reading!!
Date: May 14, 2007 07:30 pm Title: Pam Is Invited To Tea With Tragic Results
Aw! This was adorable! It's definitely my favorite chapter yet, and you know how I love this story. Thanks so much for ignoring work for me! I needed it today.
Also, can I just say that my very favorite part of this fic is the sheer number of times I go "Ha! That's how she's gonna do that!" or "Oh! So-and-so is going to be him/her!" as I'm reading every chapter. It's like bonus presents inside of an already great story. Keep up the good work! :)
Author's Response: Aww, you're so sweet! I'm glad you're enjoying it as much as I'm enjoying writing it!
Date: May 14, 2007 06:05 pm Title: Pam Is Invited To Tea With Tragic Results
Ha ha ha ha ha! This was fantastic! I am going to have to hunt down my old copies of these books, because I can't remember if this actually happened in the book. I do remember, however, how lovely the growing affection was between Anne and Gilbert. McGigi, your story just keeps getting better and better, and I really look forward to the updates. I'm so excited to get a shout out!
Author's Response: Thanks, kath!! The book's story is that Anne accidentally gave Diana currant wine instead of raspberry cordial, but I couldn't resist getting Pam drunk. Thanks for all the lovely compliments!

Nice twist! I love how you meshed the canon of AoGG and TO in this chapter. I didn't expect it:) And drunk Pam is always adorable:)
Author's Response: Thanks!! I'm very glad you enjoyed it!

You are awesome.
That's all. :)
Author's Response: Well, you are a scholar and a gentleman! Thanks for the compliment!
Date: May 08, 2007 10:37 pm Title: A Good Imagination Gone Wrong
This is GREAT!!! I really liked the way the characters have fused into a mix of their office selves and their Avonlea selves, but in the best possible way. I'm so glad you're writing this, because I'm really having a blast reading it!
Author's Response: Thank you, thank you!

:D This is me with a big dorky smile on my face. This chapter just made me snort out loud in the middle of the university library, but it was so worth it!
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it!! More will follow soon....
