I really enjoyed this. Jim was a real class act. I know it isn't a finished story, but really it can stand on its own.

What the hell?! How the bananas can both Pam and Jim pretend that they can't be together, especially after all of this?!?!
oh, god. they are incredibly dense. and they're idiots.
If Jim hooks up with someone, though, I'm going to cry. I want Pam to leave Roy on her own, not because she feels jealous or because she needs another woman to be her catalyst.
Either way, I'll probably be read every bit of this - even though I may be considering yelling and tearing my hair out at frequent points in every chapter, let alone the whole story. :P
Can't wait for an update!
Author's Response: Well, that's just it, isn't it, they're pretending...they are dense, but it's not like we don't know them very well that way already.

Aw! God, I don't think ANY man would be able to pull off that level of just-friends-ness, but Jim is doing a very convincing job in this story. And Pam needs to leave that bastard, Roy. I'm glad he wasn't quite that bad on the show. Poor Pam!
Author's Response: He's handling it now...from this perspective. There are a few more chapters of this and there will be some changes in the "Jim being supportive front".

You break out the booze and Macadamia nuts and I'll order the porn.
Now there's a line I've never read before...
Author's Response: Yeah...it randomly popped in my head and I knew I had to use it somewhere. Here seemed the best place if any.

Awww I love this Jim! This is great; you don't see a lot of what-if fics about what if Jim was still able to be friends with Pam like he'd always been. Nice nice nice! Please update soon :)
Author's Response: Thank you! Jim and Pam should still be like old times on the show too...seriously, but I could see it being hard (TWSS) for him.

Jim is completely emasculated here throughout this story and honestly makes me think you're about 15. Real men don't behave in this way. Sorry if this is harsh but I don't pull punches in reviews.
Author's Response: Well, I guess I appreciate the review, even though it is harsh. The first time I read it, it hurt my feelings, but then I thought about it and I really like that you're not afraid to say what you think. Better to say something when you think there's a problem the let it go.
I know that Jim seems like a major push over, but really there is a point to that. Despite the feelings of many, I'm sure; I need Pam to stay with Roy and having Jim fight that would put a damper on where I want this to go.

Wow. Interesting! Will she still go on her honeymoon with that big oaf? I hope she has the tickets. You know, when your husband's an idiot, it's okay to get an annulment and go on your honeymoon with a friend. Like, a really good friend.
Author's Response: Oh, Kev, your comments crack me up so. No fear, there is an end to Roy in sight...well, sort of. No, really, I have a plan for him yet.

fuck, how could she still marry that dorkface of a doofusbrain of a MONKEYHEAD of AN IDIOT WHO NEEDS TO LEAVE THIS STORY RIGHT NOW?!
Don't get me wrong - I freaking love this story, because it's half on the lines I was expecting after Casino Night - Pam needs a friend, Jim is a friend, and the friend, that can help her. Of course, because Jim was there, I guess she didn't understand the pain of not having him nearly as much as she would've understood if Jim had really left, on bad terms - so I like that you got that in.
But still, I'm unbelievably mad at both of them, because Jim: Pam DID make the biggest mistake of her life x infinity, and Pam: YOU ARE IN LOVE WITH THE MAN WHO THINKS YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.
Oh, dear - I think I'm going to be typing in caps a lot when I'm reviewing this story. Be prepared - I get very...passionate about my 'ships. ;)
Can't wait to see when she ditches the moron and gets with TheGoodGuy, who is ABetterGuy than the Jim on the show because he chose to realise that what he did was just a big shitty. :P
Seriously - get to writing!

this is so depressing.

This is a really interesting concept. I like the fact that they remain friends.
Jim is just so amazingly wonderful. He is like, even being great to her saying that she did the right thing by marrying Roy. He is perfect. Damn him!

Sigh. It's so sweet and sad. Supportive!Jim is wonderful, but every interaction between those two screams that it should be them getting married, not Pam and Roy. :(

Wow, this is such a simple idea, I am shocked I haven't read something like this before! You wrote it so beautifully. I really don't usually like any storyies where Jim an Pam don't end up together but I love this one. I finished reading and I was amazed!

"I was here early. The wedding started at four. I was here at 3:15. I bought a new tie for today. I thought your vows were lovely. The cake was delicious. I'd love to dance with you. I've only had two glasses of wine. But, you know, you aren't pretty today."
"What?"
"You're absolutely beautiful."
That is SO something he would say. Dammit Jim, stop being adorable on her wedding day, it doesn't make things any easier. Great work :)

Well, I'm certainly glad it didn't go this way! It's certainly well written, but it doesn't make my JAMmy little heart happy!
I do like how Jim is being a friend even though she goes through with the wedding. It would take a big man to attend that wedding, and I guess Jim is that big man.
But it's sad that Pam went through with a wedding she wasn't sure about, and that Roy is at his worst. And yeah, she probably just did make the biggest mistake of her life!
I do wonder where you're going with this, but you're right, if it's in there, you gotta let it out! I'll go along for the ride.
Author's Response: Don't worry, this will go where people want at some point...well, let me rephrase that...you won't know what you want till you get it. Thanks for the review!
