i feel like i was simultaneously holding my breath and cheering them on throughout this whole chapter. loved all that JAM-y, tension-y goodness!
Author's Response: I hope to have you able to breathe soon. It's going to take a little bit, though. Pam tore that poor boy's heart in two. :(

Awesome chapter! I loved it. The yearning and longing was palpable. The description of her clothes and hair were perfect. Can't wait to see/read what's next.
Author's Response: I'm dying to give Pam a makeover. LOL! I thought with a little bit of confidence she'd make a few little changes. Glad you liked it. :)

The phone thing was perfect. I like that you didn't give the girl a name. Awesome.
Author's Response: I was gonna - but then I realized she wasn't going to be around long enough anyway. LOL!

I should probably give up reviewing each chapter, because I can only express my love for you in so many ways before it becomes creepy. ;)

This was wonderful. I am interested to know why Phyllis didn't mention the break-up in her emails? Looking forward to Jesus's birthday!
Author's Response: Because I don't think Pam really made a big deal about it being officially over. The wedding was already postponed. I don't think people would really notice. Jim knew the wedding didn't happen - but she still chose to stay with Roy so he made the decision to leave. I don't think Phyllis felt the need to say anything more.
At least that's how it goes in my mind. :)
Glad you're liking it. Thanks for reading!!

Lovely...seriously. You're doing such a great job of maintaining a bittersweet tone. Also of making small details so evocative.
It's about 95 degrees here today - and I'm really looking forward to Christmas.
Author's Response: Thank you...seriously. I'm hopeful that I've been able to strike a balance that feels real and not over the top angsty.
It's hot here too. I'm wishing for snow. ;)

"He’s thinking of what to do, what to say, how fast he can pack up his apartment in Stamford and move back here when he hears her speak again." Sounds promising. Continue. (please)

This is torture, but oh what sweet, sweet torture. ;) Actually, it is pretty realistic that it would be awkward. Now, let's hope he calls!
Author's Response: Hmmm. I wonder if he will. ;)

Gah! I'm LOVING this! Excellent detail with the brouchure and his sticky note on the front - sounds exactly like something he'd do! Keep writing!

Oh, lovely. I absolutely love getting to see both of their angsty POVs and sit here from on high and yell "Just GET ON WITH IT!" :) Honestly.

So annoying. LOL!

Sweet and sad. I can't wait for the next (happier?) installment.
