I just discovered this story today and read the whole thing. It was breathtaking. I don't think Pam suffered too much. Jim's coma gave her the time she needed to become the Pam of Jim's dreams.
I loved the characterizations of both sets of parents, and of Jim's sister-in-law. They added nice layers to the story.
All in all - great job!
Author's Response: Thanks so much! I don't really like making up other characters but it was kind of fun to have her get to know them. And yeah, I think Pam needed to do a little evolving to become worthy of Jim!

okay, that brougt tears to my eyes. THe minute I saw the title of the chapter, I knew it was going to do taht, I immediately remembered Pam thinking about Jim being there for holidays. They are just so darn cute.

I read the entire story (up to chapter 12) last night and I loved, loved, loved it. I actually welled up with tears a couple of times, which is very rare for me! I've had to take an unexpected break from writing for the last few weeks due to work scheduling, but I'm totally inspired to get back to my story. I can't wait to read the rest of this!!! Great to come back to a new chapter after having trouble with the site for a day or so! I was suffering some severe Jam withdrawal.
"If I didn't know any better, I'd swear that the tall paper salesman is in love with the cute receptionist." Jim's voice was barely above a whisper as he pulled Pam in to place his lips softly on her neck.
