I like this a lot. Smoking in general is a turn off to me, but there is something sexy about a hot man and a cigar. Especially Jim Halpert and a cigar.
Plus I liked the contrast between sex with Roy and sex with Jim. The Jim/Pam cloth imagery was lovely as well.
And Kevin's comment at the end was perfect!
I'm off to see if you've written anything else here. Nicely done!

Wow. It isn't often I review pieces - not for any one particular reason (besides pure laziness! ;)) - but this was so heartbreakingly beautiful I simply had to. I could physically imagine the characters in this situation (something that has neevr really happened to me before). Usually when I read something the only way I know Jim and Pam are Jim and Pam is because that is what they are called ... They are charaicatures more than anything. But here ... Wow. I can't say it enough. I hope this makes even a tiny bit of sense since it's a bit late here. I wanted you to know how much I adored this.
Author's Response: Thanks so much! I'm really, really pleased to have such an effusive review. I try very hard to nail characterization because that's what makes a fic, to me - not just, you know, cutting and pasting your characters' names into a harlequin romance. There's a lot of really quality fic at this site :) Anyways, thanks so much, I'm glad it brought out such a response!

Not a smoker, but I can understand how that could be a kink. Loved this: "She wants to take them and shred them and then knot all the pieces up together into one tangled mass of Jim-and-Pam-cloth that no one will ever be able to pick apart."
Author's Response: I used to absolutely abhor smoking. Obviously, I've been a wee bit converted. I'm glad you like that line; it's one of my favorite parts, even though it's a small story to have favorite parts out of, lol. As opposed to being crafted that line totally jumped out fully formed.

Author's Response: Hey, thanks! I know part of fanfic is trying to really get down the realistic nuances of the show, but I also feel it's impossible to help imposing a bit of your own style on it.
