I love this story so much! It fills in all the blanks exactly how I thought they should be.

I like lots of the conversations / scenarios you write here. But what takes me out of the story a lot the more it goes on is that the majority of these would in a realistic world change the on screen story of the show. I'd much preferred these either to be oneshots of how they got together earlier than in the show or for it to be a complete diversion from the show and it's own story.

I know this is an older story and you probably don't check reviews anymore, but your descriptions here are just beautiful. It reminded me of the first time I read an Anne Rice novel- I had those same feelings. Except for the painting stuff- I can't art so it just made me want to visit new Orleans rally, really badly.

I just had to tell you that in the years since you wrote this story, EVERY time I hear Chasing Cars I think of this chapter. I just came back to read it again and enjoy the Jim and Pam angst of Season 2!! Thanks for an amazing story

Oh!  I just love the way you closed this chapter.  The look on Pam's face in the show really does go perfectly...

Oooooooooooh I love how you worked that in, that was freaking awesome. I always wondered what could have caused the awkward flirty moments, because Jim had been there a while when season 1 started, no? Oh well, whatever, it was awesome and I cannot wait to read more.

Um, Pam talking to Roy on her cell while she's looking at Jim? That was kinda hot.

Snow Patrol? Oh, no, not Snow Patrol! You are eeeeeevil, girl7.  Yeah, I'm gonna need a bigger box of kleenex. 

I love this series so much. Every bit of this is just so spot on.  You really captured the longing and awkwardness so perfectly.   Lying together on the floor was so amazingly romantic.  And the crying and the head on the chest.  *sigh*  I want this on my teevee. 

I loved it all, but these two sentences in particular just do me in. 

She haunted him.

And he didn’t ask her – not once – what was wrong.  Because he knew.

That's just... fuuuuuuck. How did you get to be so awesome? 

Oh, and then there was kissing. Even sad, pissed off kissing is still kissing, so we're very happy (and sad, but mostly happy). Smiley!Jim likes the kissing. :-)

I love all of your pieces so far.  The only thought I had on this one is that AU or not, it had some continuity issues... the fireworks were on the night of the Client, before Michael and Jan got back.  So no one would've known about them until the next morning (when Dwight sees Jan getting her car, etc.).  Also, she wouldn't have even said that swaying wasn't dancing, because that was also after the night of the Client.  Very cute scene, and I loved their chemistry and the overal adorable JAM-ness.  That was my only thought.  :)

Oh my god. This is fantastic and so heartbreaking. What Jim did while Pam was on vacation. Sometimes he envied Roy most for being able to just see her in all of these tiny little moments - the ones that he himself felt like he had to steal. And basically the entire ending. It's so hard to see them spiraling towards a breakdown, because everything is just breaking Jim to pieces. They are the most bittersweet people EVER. Paaaam, wake up. ...Alright, this chapter was recommended to me and now I'm going to start from the beginning. Thanks so much for this story!
