I'm in love with you!!!! AHhhhhhhhhh!!!!! Jesus! I have been waiting for an update and here it is. This is absolutely my favorite chapter in the series.... how can he leave her and wait for tomorrow?You know the feeling of watching a really good episode of anything and you just can't wait for the next week? That is how I feel. This story is so incredibly romantic in so many ways. I wasn't sure about reading AU but after this story I will never doubt it again. Am I saying too much? Probably but I don't care:) Great job,keep them coming!

And the only thing that I don't like (which really isn't a bad thing at all) is how fast the chapters go! They just flow so well that by the time I get to the end I'm left thinking, "Wait! That's it! NO! I just started!" So I'm always, always anxious and awaiting updates from you!

I'm so glad you had Karen figure out that Jim was hesitant and unsure, because I was picturing Jim just going along with it and Karen would wear the ring, Pam would run into them, see the ring and give up on Jim forever. Kudos to Karen for not flipping out entirely, because I would thrown the ring down the nearest toilet or out the window or something! Now, is this the last of Karen? Or no? Post soon!!!

Ooh, I actually debated having Jim toss the ring into the Tiber River as a scene. LOL But passed that up- cause I'm sure it would have cost him a month's salary and I always figured Jim to be somewhat frugal. Heh. I'm pretty certain this is the last of Karen, we'll see.... This fic keeps getting better and better. I felt really terrible for Karen here, I mean that has to hurt. But I rebounded quickly with Jim finding her at the festival! The banter over the phrase book was genius. And I practically squeed with his last line!

So here's the thing (are you listening? Don't make me bang on the keyboard!): Given the fact that I've read this more than a few times now, it logically should lose a little of its punch, no matter how good it is. But it's really astonishing how much it STILL packs such an emotional ooomph. The image of the OLotS festival you present here is absolutely gorgeous, eclipsed only by the care (grace?) with which you depict Jim & Pam's reunion.
Just beautiful, amazing. I could go on and on, but really -- let me just say this: This fic is as amazing as John Krasinski's forearms. Oh yes, I went there. (Uh, I should clarify, perhaps, that it's amazing for slightly different reasons, LOL.)

I think I have very selective memory. Selective meaning - remember happy Jim/Pam actually, any Jim/Pam, and forgetting that Karen found the ring. And then reading the first sentence it was like oh dratit, she found the ring. Darn her. Hasn't she fallen off a cliff yet!
Aww, but as much as I want it to happen, it was still heartbreaking as Karen realized he didn't want to marry her.
And the fact that Pam has such an effect on Jim's life is kinda like what The Office has on mine. Totally sad, but true.
And I would be pissed if I was Karen. You finally think you are moving past Pam, just to have her in this whole mess again. But I still want her gone, so I am only slightly pissed and heartbroken.

Okay, so have in any of my previous reviews done random Friends quotes? If not, here is one.
So that reminded me of the Friends episode, where Chandler is talking to the Chick and watching Baywatch. And he says that Yasmine Bleeth (i believe) is also a chick. And he loves them both. But in very different ways. I am about 90% sure on the scene. But since TO is taking up all my DVD time, my Friends DVDs are feeling a little left out.
La Griffe hotel reminds me of The Giraffe. :)
So, in an odd way, I kept expecting this chapter to end... even though I knew they met, I kept feeling like it would be a cliffhanger before it did. And if that sounds like a bad thing, it isn't. I dunno, I was just rereading it, and it isn't a bad thing. And I was glad that they did finally meet. And talk.
But I will also say that I read hooked as hookers, so apparently, my brain isn't really working right today.
Haha, that phrase book sounds SO FUNNY. I may just have to get one just to learn really random bizarre phrases.

It's also sort of sad that Pam and Jim are parting, and won't meet up again until tomorrow at noon! It doesn't seem that either one has that much they have to do at this moment. But, of course, Pam doesn't know that Jim and Karen just broke up, and they probably are both a bit shell-shocked about seeing each other.

This is one of the few stories that I check back for every time I'm online (other recent ones were Stolen and the gorgeous Map of the World). I love that this story is taking its time... Chapter 6 and Pam's just discovered they are both in Rome! You are also spoiling us with some truly lush and vivid descriptions. The Trevi Fountain a few chapters back stands out, as does the Mouth of Truth in this one. Maybe I should just go out and get dinner already, but I'd love some lovely food scenes, since food is such a big part of a visit to Italy.
Author's Response: Unfortunately I'm not a big fan of Italian food (blasphemous, I know... especially since I'm half Italian! LOL) so it's very difficult for me to write lovely eating scenes. I can promise you in the near future though that there will be several more "locational" scenes- so hopefully that will make up for the lack of eating (ah, who needs to eat anyway!
