I am just loving this story! I check a lot as well, because you are awesome about updating a lot! I really like Jim in this story, and can't wait to find out about his divorce.

I really love this story. I check the site multiple times a day to see if there's more. :) Beautifully written. Can't wait for their date!

Then... it's a date. Hooray!
Although, Jim... an hour early? For shame. Give a girl time to take a shower and shave her legs.
Good chapter!

Very much enjoyed that chapter!
As a New Yorker though, just wanted to say something on the lingo. We never refer to any distance as miles. We say everything in blocks or neighborhoods. So, since a couple of miles is around 30 blocks or so, we wouldn't refer to that in blocks, we would say "this great restaurant in Soho" (or the Village, or the Lower East Side, etc...)
Do I make any sense? Sorry, just wanted to throw in my New York lingo lesson... :) Anyway questions about the city, feel free to ask!
Author's Response:
Yes, that makes perfect sense. :) I'll try and use blocks from now on (since I know nothing of New York City neighborhoods). Being from the Midwest, I automatically refer to everything in miles, haha.

I definitely enjoyed Michael in this! Ryan is kind of a tool here, but not any more than sometimes on the show. I really liked Michael drawing the flames - hah!

I adore this story! I don't know what it is but seeing them all in a totally different setting is sweet, refreshing and completely awesome. I've read so many post-The Job fics that this is a nice change. Please keep it up as quickly as possible. I get excited to see what will happen next. :-)

Awww ......Poor Jim. So is Karen his ex? Ohhhh the plot thickens.lol I'm thrilled you posted another part. You spoil us readers!I read that there will be another one tomorrow morning?O I can't wait! The Seaseme Set is hilarious! Can't wait for the next part, I like how things are developing between Jim and Pam, at a nice even pace, very realistic. Great job.

Have I mentioned how much I am enjoying this story? Because it's quite a bit.

So I typically don't review/reply to stories. But I felt that I absolutely had to send you a quick note on this one!
I don't know if it's the AU in the midst of all the post "The Job" stories, or what... But I'm REALLY enjoying this! I like that you have kept true to Dwight kookiness, but you haven't made him quite so annoying...
I don't know, I just wanted you to know that I'm THOROUGHLY enjoying it!
Author's Response: Aw! Thank you for commenting on my story! :) I feel special now! Haha, I'm glad that you're enjoying it!

Another great one! I love when Jim and Michael bond. Ryan is kind of a douchebag (excuse the language) in this story. Well I guess he's kind of a douche in real life too (and by "real life" i mean the show), huh. So good for you I Know This Much Is True...staying faithful to character traits!
Author's Response:
I was a little afraid about Ryan's character in this story. I mean, I realize that I made him a bit of a douche, but I also feel that if he spoke up more on the actual show (and if maybe the show were broadcasted on HBO or something) that he would be a little bit on the jerky side.
Glad you liked it! :)

Thanks for the two posts in one day! I really love this story. I can't wait until he asks Pam out! I love that there is kind of a rich versus poor element to this story. I find it so cute that none of this crosses Jim's mind. I can't wait to hear more about Jim and his divorce! Great job with this chapter!

I'm very impressed with the way you are taking this story. It is quickly becoming one of my favorites and I do hope that you will post another chapter tonight. I like the fact that you went with advertising, a good choice in my opion. This way Jim's creative side comes out. Well much kudos to you for another brilliant chapter.

count me in on the pleaing! I absolutely love this story of yours! It's so perfectly everyone in a completely different environment...and I wanna know more about Jim's life! That one chapter wasn't enough...divorce? What's that about?

I am in LOVE with this story... I normally don't fall in love with a lot of AU stories but I can't get enough of this one!!! Can't wait to read more!

I adore this method of getting backstory. One of the things that really kills a fic is the "Pam remembered how she had lived..." technique, but this, with the easy banter and sense of purpose, is a great way to get that all out there without tedium and while still advancing an existing relationship. Brilliant.

"Awwwwww" is the only phrase that comes to mind. And Googling should never lead you astray, and I've never even heard of arena football so if for some off chance you're not right I'm guessing most of us wouldn't know. Great chapter...can't wait to check for more when I get back from work tonight!

WON-derful!!! I love how Jim has Pam talk about herself and paint. What a wonderful, supportive friend who should be "more than that"...
And “Unless I run into you sooner”? NICE!

This is so great! I love just the uniqueness of this story and how great you've gotten Jim/Pam voices down. I loved the idea of them talking on the phone telling her life story over the phone while painting. So goooooood! I can't wait for more! :)

i really like how jim was married, but was he married to karen? hmm? i cant wait to see.

Great chapter! Curious! Who was Jim's wife? Was it Karen? I'm glad it's an ex-wife, and not a current one.
I look forward to the next chapter, but fear no rocks from this direction. And hey, isn't this the 2nd chapter in one day? Apology not... accepted. Because it wasn't even necessary in the first place. (/Andy)

AH! Jim was married. That was a shocker I did not expect. Hence my usage of the word "shocker." I just hope Jim's ability to be the absolute perfect man (as I imagine him) was not spoiled by his first wife!
