Is it ever hard to let go of hope, or what. Poor Jim. I think everyone has had a crush they can't quite get rid of because they can't get that last touch of negativity from the person to have closure -- that seems to be what makes his situation so universal and so sympathetic. Le sigh. You did the awkward really well here.

This was stunningly beautiful.  You've managed to portray them both - him heartbroken and her bewildered...I've read this several times; I keep coming back, even though it makes me a little sad.

I'm thrilled that you've venured into Office fic....but I'm concerned this doesn't bode well for Chaos Theory. :)  (I've never commented on the House boards, but you are one of my top 3 favorites.)

Ow. That just HURT. This packs quite a punch for such a short fic. This is great - and by any standard, not just for a first fic.

I also love that even though this has some of the strongest Jim/Pam angst I've seen, you also had me laughing at other parts - particularly Dwight crying at the seminar. Seriously, I can't believe you were able to do so much in just over 1000 words. I hope to see more from you!
