This has a very Harry Potter book 7 epilogue vibe to the end, but let's be clear, I'm not saying it's bad. I liked how you both set up and then moved through the plot emotionally and efficiently, and I think it's a great "what's the worst that could happen" thought experiment--except that, you know, it's not actually that awful, now is it?

Okay, I wasn't quite sure if I liked this story, but I decided to keep reading (mostly out of boredom :P). I love this little plagerized ending, it just makes me love this story even more. I'm glad I kept reading, and I'm glad you did it this way instead of like 30 pointless chapters. Awsome job!

Jim is being pretty selfish. Is he just gonna rip the little girl away from the only family she's ever known? Who cares if he's her father that doesn't mean anything really since he hasn't been in her life the past however many years. Even though that's not his fault.

It would be natural for Karen's family to be angry with Jim based on what Karen had told them. But I hope they can realize what's best for Celia and not what they want. I can't wait until Jim brings his son up - and hopefully Pam, too.

So now it's their baby? Wow. I hope this is just Karen's over-amped hormones, talking, cause she's turning way harsh.
Although it's true that Jim is 50% responsible for this situation, and I'm glad he's stepping up to the plate.
This whole scenario opens up all kinds of interesting ethical questions, though. I'm interested to see how they play out. You have me hooked.

Wow. Like, Karen wasn't involved in what made her pregnant? Unless Jim raped her, she bears equal responsibility. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Author's Response: Oh, no... he just meant that Pam was not going to replace her dead mommy. It would have been kind of awkward to answer in the affirmative with her mom and sister right there. ;)

Well, they do have certain moments of both relationships caught on camera that they can show the jury which would be helpful for Jim's case during his trial.
I'm probably thinking wayyy ahead but that was just my first thought.

Hmmm. Methinks Karen isn't being entirely truthful with Jim. I was afraid she'd bring a lot of pressure on him to get back together so I like this reaction better.
