This is great fun!
“I noticed the Marriage License Bureau is only the next block over,” Jim said. He was more than a little surprised at how easily that information had slipped out, but not nearly as much as Pam seemed to be.
I'm glad to see Jim didn't beat around the bush!
Author's Response: I'm not sure Jim actually intended to say that out loud, you know. :-) But luckily for him Pam already knew her answer...

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?! i'm excited..don't know if it's good excited or bad excited.. but i'm excited!!! (it's probably good excited... i don't care what the circumstance, i just want my JAM happy!!)
Author's Response: LOL - glad to provide a dose of drama to your day, StarShine - stay tuned for the last chapter, appearing soon!

Love the contrast between the natural and totally 'unnatural' worlds you can only find in Vegas.
Are they going to Green Valley Ranch to see who is the head chef? Do you think it will be Rock, Bonnie or Jen?
Author's Response:
LOL - I guess I know who got kicked off last night then!! ;-) (That's okay, I'll be watching it tonight.)
My son's rooting for Rock.

simply original & excellent! You never disappoint!
Author's Response: LOL - thanks! Can I get that as my epitaph?

The Clock Of Tackiness is resting lovingly in my parents living room right now, and I couldn't be prouder. The got it on their honeymoon hundreds of years ago. Great story!
Author's Response:
haha! Wonderful! Truth is (shh!) I love those clocks. There's one at my mom's house I completely intend on inheriting one day. :-)
Thanks for reading!!

Oh my god, you just took this story above and beyond my wildest dreams! (Not quite sure why I didn't see it coming, since you did send them to Vegas.)
The ending of this chapter surprised me so much, and in such a good way.
'It's what I'd choose.' Such a great line. Nice work Moxie.
Author's Response:
It's always nice to be able have a good story twist, I think. But the next chapter might be the biggest twist of all.
Thanks for reading, desert island!

Yay! I had hoped that this was where you were going with this story, and I'm glad I'm right. This is such a fun story. Your details of Vegas are great and remind me of the times I've gone there!
Author's Response: oh good - can you tell I'm a vegas fan, too?? :-) Thanks for the review!

OMG, I knew it! The minute I realized they were going to Vegas, I figured that the ultimate in spontaneity would be to get married there. Whoa...
Author's Response:
Hehe - true. But they aren't married yet... :-)
Thanks for the review!

I cannot convey to you the number of things I love about this chapter! It is beautiful.
“When we get to the room just tell me you're in love with me and I'll show you.”
I freaking love that!
Author's Response: Thank you, thank you, thank you! And for purposes of backstory I already have quite a list of ways she thinks that night COULD have ended... :-)

This story makes me feel like Forrest Gump - each chapter is like a different chocolate, one more luscious than the next. Nice memory of them glowing at each other over the poker table in CN. Still makes me kind of swoony.
Author's Response: oh good - swoony was definitely what I was going for. :-) Next chapter: dark chocolate raspberry....

*thud* I'm on the floor. A do-over for Casino Night -- the reason fanfic even exists!!! And I love Pam eyeing Jim from across the casino. Nice view.
Author's Response: Yeah, she's pretty good at that voyeur stuff... ;-) Stay on the floor, chapter 6 is coming....

Ahhhh, this is all so dreamy. I LOVED this part:
She wondered if he had a sixth sense to know when she was watching him, for after he took a sip of the drink the waitress handed him, he looked directly at her. The thrill she felt when she saw his whole face light up in recognition made her want to run right over to him. But instead she continued to stand there, staring back, hoping that he could tell by just looking at her how much she loved him. Thanks again, Moxie.
Author's Response: thanx, bees! So glad you liked it. :-)

What a sweet end to the chapter. Had my heart thumping in my throat. Great vignette!
Author's Response: thanks, Starry! That means a lot given I still have snippets of When in Rome caught in my head....

So that's why they have blankets on planes! Frisky Jim and Pam are so fun to read about!
Author's Response:
When I'm on our transatlantic flight in 2 weeks, I will be thinking of Jim and Pam while I snuggle under my blanket... (and definitely wishing I had a halpert to share it with!!)
So glad you are enjoying this!!

I love how you told us what happened in the last chapter in this one! And yes, 20 minutes on the roof is definitely more satisfying! This is a great series!
Author's Response:
*phew!* Good to know you know what's what, Kay - you worried me last chapter. ;-) So glad you like it!!
Date: July 22, 2007 05:55 pm Title: More Satisfying Than Snickers
I don't know.... Snickers really satisfies!
Author's Response: You cheeky monkey!! Snickers over a Jim Halpert? You must be smoking crack! ;-)

Yes! They're having a good time, aren't they? Incidentally, I know we were joking about the Mile High Club on the boards, but I agree that this is much better than having to go in the airplane bathroom, which is yucky all around unless you fly a private jet! LOL A cabana + a Halpert= good times.
Author's Response:
A cabana + a Halpert= good times.
We need to sell t-shirts that say that, doncha think? Maybe as an MTT fundraiser. ;-) Or for the "Send Moxie to the Leatherheads Premiere" fund. So glad you are enjoying this little thing. It's a departure for me - to try and stick to snapshots of scenes instead writing every little detail. I could talk backstory on this one for DAYS.... ;-)

as always, moxie... I loved it! keep it coming!
Author's Response: Thanks, receptionist! I'm working on it!

Pam is Hussy #1. And can you blame her? I want a cabana and a pitcher of drinks with Jim. Lucky gal.
Author's Response: Yes, I totally look forward to seeing a bit more the Pam's Hussy in season 4.... (does that sound too dirty??) ;-)
