And poor, tortured Jim. I bet we all thought that version of Jim would be gone once he hooked up with Pam, but no such luck, mister.

As for Jim.....if Jim would quit being all sensitive and noble once in a while, things might work a little better. I imagine having a perfect boyfriend would still get annoying after a while....

Ah Jim, what a pickle. I can't say that I don't agree with him. Spending years trying to envision things and then finally when he gets what he wants every guy in the US will be able to see. Yow, that's gotta hurt.

Oh poor, deluded Jim. Of course she's going to do it! Hee! I really love how you did this chapter. The talking heads are truly fantastic. This is just such a fun story idea; I'm very glad you finally decided to start writing it. Can't wait for the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks - I originally pictured this as an episode, so it's so much more office/work based than what I usually write. We'll get a bit inside Jim's mind, so at least that's different from the show.

Oh. My. God. I had NO idea you were going to go *there*. Wow. I was really enjoying this, too. I love the idea that they have to pretend to still be living the lives they had when the documentary last aired (on Bravo! Hee!) whenever they make public appearances. I love that Jim and Dwight, as The Boyfriends, were the ones that were most interested in what was going on. Even the "Samantha Something" joke. And then you go and lay THIS on me. Hooboy. Can't wait to see where you take it! ;-)

The talking heads in this chapter are great, especially Michael's; made me laugh out loud.
I can't wait to see what happens. I'm glad you explained why Karen wasn't included, I couldn't figure it out.
And what is our FNB going to decide? Hmm...Jim obviously isn't thrilled about the possibility.

While I was reading this chapter it reminded me of the "Clothes off our back" shot of JF in that magazine. I could see Pam doing something that tasteful and beautiful. And I loved Pam's answer that marrying Roy was her #1 most unlikely thing.

I really like the concept behind this story. I also like how it takes place after the show aired, but while the cameras are still rolling. I'm also really glad that you made some of the characters contemplate their decision to do nor not to do this.
My favorite part of this chapter is Phyllis's talking head. It's short and sweet and it's totally how I would have imagined it. Bobby just loves his Phyllis, doesn't he. It's so cute.

Maxim is mostly articles, unless they've changed in the last couple of years since I've picked one up. Only two or three real photo spreads throughout. Heck, some of the articles are even readable, like the interview with legendary hockey enforcer Bob Probert. And the American version doesn't even have actual nudity in it.
