What a lovely story! I loved reading about their early interactions and the qualities that endeared Pam to Jim right from the beginning of their relationship. And of course I can't get enough of happily married Mr. and Mrs. Halpert.

Author's Response: So glad you liked it. I, as have so many other fans of the show, have often wondered/speculated about what Jim and Pam's initial meeting might have been like (fueled no doubt by Jim's deleted talking head from The Client about his best/worst "first" date where it's fairly obvious that he had a strong attraction to Ms. Beesly pretty much from the get go). So, with ElizabethLynn's suggestion that I expand my initial story (Forgetting Her) I had an opportunity to write my version of how things may have transpired between them. I've just always felt from watching Seasons 1 & 2 that both Jim and Pam had an almost instant and deep attraction and chemistry for one another that really couldn't be denied. I just hope the first part of my story was in some way successful in conveying that idea. I also hope that despite the pitfalls of Season 3, their bond is such that we'll get to see them embark on a truly happy life together!

I really enjoyed this. I loved how Jim kept a running list in his head of all of the reasons he loves Pam (I really liked the cupcakes in the hotel one!). And "She just gets me" was a great look into Jim's thoughts when Pam's note with the "gold medal" fell into his lap. Well done!

I think Pam has a lot of verrry "charming" qualities that Jim has either already come to appreciate or soon will in the near future...her inventiveness with cupcakes being only one example. I hope the documentary crew lets us observe Jim discovering more of her charms come Season 4...in a very tasteful way, of course!

Originally I had written what is now Part Two, but ElizabethLynn suggested I think about a 3-part story so I thought it would be fun to think about how the relationship between Jim and Pam actually started and then about where it eventually led them.
