This was just great, totally IC and plausible. And right in my line of thinking that they would not have wanted to wait a moment to come together.

Loovved it!! Especially how Jim and Pam unwittingly go to the one place where the documentary crew is guaranteed to show up... and how Michael made Andy and Dwight stay late to repaint his office... and all of the Andy groveling... I can so picture that. So, over all...
LOVED IT :DD
Author's Response: Thanks so much! (Sorry for the late reply!)

You win. At everything there is to win, and then some.
Seriously - every time I read this? Goofy grin, giddy claps of glee, and happiness of gargantuan proportions. Love it all.
Author's Response: Hee! Thanks, kiddo!

You really made me 'see' Pam's nervousness and excitement over the date - alloting time for a possible freak-out, washing the hair twice, furiously blushing and covering her face even when alone in her bathroom. It's been (quite) awhile, but I still remember all those sympoms of new love and first dates. Well done!
Author's Response: Thanks, FashionShow!

So simple, and just a bit awkward, but exactly like it should happen.
Author's Response: Thank you!

You know, ever since I watched The Office UK's special features, where Lucy Davis said that Tim and Dawn had danced around their romance so long there's no way they would have waited afterwards, I've been stuck on that thought for Jim and Pam.
You hit the nail on the head. These two can't wait. It's just not natural.
Oh, and the part with Pam getting ready for the date, I actually felt my heart speeding up and felt like I was reading it at 2x speed. Very, very effective.
I loved it.
Author's Response:
I tend to think Tim and Dawn didn't even make it out of the building. Did you see the way she was looking at him? (Why is it so hard to find UK Office Fanfic?)
Thanks so much for the great comment, CallieJames!

I love your take on the first date. It was cute, serious, and sexy all at the same time. Also, thank you for your authors notes. And you can sleep well, because Vanilla Ice is ABSOLUTELY going to hell for what he has done. :)
Author's Response: Haha! Thanks!

This is really wonderful. The characterization is perfect. This might be better then what we actually get in September.
Author's Response: Thank you so much, andromeda!

Aw! That's adorable! I love how they couldn't even make it to dinner first. I mean, Jim shows up at your door, and what are you supposed to do? ;)
It was good first date fic. Don't worry, we're all guilty of it at this point. hehe
Author's Response: Thanks!

I can't wait for the season premier. It's been a long summer and I would love a flashback to this story.
Author's Response: Yeah, me too. I wonder if there's any chance of Jim and Pam first date webisodes?

Excellent. Just excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed the read. And this line:
“No, I didn’t take the job. And I’m already your boss.”
...was sexy as hell. I don't know why, particularly, but it was HOT.
And, obviously, Jim and Pam skipping the date and going right to dessert was fabulous.
Wonderful job with this. I loved it.
Author's Response:
Yeah, so now I kind of want to write S4 fic where Jim bosses Pam around. But for fun. Alone. After hours.
Thanks for reading!

Oh this is great! You have managed to work a new angle into a first date story! WAY TO GO! I loved the backwards take on things and that even after they'd had sex they were still nervous. Also loved it when the camera crew walked in but gave them the head's up that it was a fave hangout. GREAT STUFF!
Author's Response: Thanks so much!

Paper Jam, this is just lovely. There are all sorts of wonderful moments in here that I won't take time to just pick a few.
I also like how you have little in-character moments of the others; it's not just Jim and Pam.
Really nice job!
Author's Response: Thanks for reading and commenting Too Late Kev! I really appreciate it!

Under Pressure is a wonderful song...bowie and mercury? hell yeah....I never thought of it applying to Jim and Pam but the lyrics are perfect...especially at then end when they sing "why can't we give ourselves one more chance, why can't we give love one more chance?"
Yep..I re-listened as I read your fic...
I loved this, more than Michael loves his Ho's!!!!
Author's Response:
I know, I was walking to work one morning, and I heard the lyrics "Sat on a fence but it don't work. Keep coming up with love but it's so slashed and torn. Can't we give ourselves one more chance? Why can't we give love that one more chance? This is our last dance,
this is ourselves, under pressure." This fic went "Ding!"
Thank you, big haircut!!!

So happy to see something new from you! Of course, you did not disappoint:) This is just pitch perfect from beginning to end. Great voices and I just love incorporating the camera crew. Well done!!
Author's Response: Thank you SOOOO much, bitterpill !!!

Now I'll never have to write a FDF, cause this pretty much nailed precisely how I'd picture it - only 1000x better.
Love that Pam wasn't coy - I could completely imagine them both needing to get all that unrequited lust out of the way, right off the bat...and sort of seal the deal on what they finally are. I mean enough is enough. Their subsequent awkwardness was so real and touching too.
Jim's realization of his inadvertant exhibitionism was so funny, in a perfectly Jim-ish way. I also really like how they discussed and accepted having to deal with the inevitable insanity at work, but that it would be so worth it - very true to the show and to their mutual dynamic with the cameras, etc.
Pam, I only know how to be me. I tried being someone else, and it didn’t work.
As others have said, this pretty much sums up S3 Jim, and it's great to hear him say it...it just galvanizes the whole meaning of his coming back to her (and himself.) And her low key question about Karen, and his sort of marvelling at her...as usual, you seem to somehow be able to render these characters in such a natural, unlabored way.
Oh, and Michael, Dwight and Andy at the beginning really set the scene - that, along with the camera guys, really made this feel like it was happening within the context of the show.
And the last line...sexy as hell. Okay, I'll stop babbling now...will re-read instead.
Author's Response: I am SOOOO flattered that you liked this, Colette, because you are pretty much my "Jim/Pam 1000x better" hero. Your comments always make my day. Thank you 1000x!

Best first date ever. Seriously. I liked that Pam seduced Jim, too. If I were her I'd be all over him as well!
Also - loved the characterizations of all of the office folk - very good and in character! I really liked this!
Author's Response: Wow, thanks, kells8995!

Awesome. Just completely awesome. A great combination of Jam and the working in of the documentary crew. Loved it! :-)
