I just found this story, and just read it the whole way through and I love every single word you've written. I know you're probably long gone from the site, but I just had to let you know this is wonderful, in case you'll see it. This last chapter especially is wonderful and left me with a tear in my eye.

Just re-read all these. What a fabulous series of song inspired vignettes. Just love your writing!
Author's Response: Oh, you're a sweetheart, VB! It was such a thrill to start writing again with these vignettes. So great to have internet access (at least for the weekend) and be able to respond to reviews. Thank you!

I just wanted to let you know, that while ALL of the chapters in this story, and literally every other story you've written are FANTASTIC, this one is my favourite. I sometimes just read it if I'm in a bad mood, and it makes me happy :)
Maybe that's a little creepy, but I hope it shows how bloody amazing this story is.
Just... wow.
Author's Response: I'm so sad that i'm just seeing this now, lllF. Thank you so much for these kind words - much appreciated.

Author's Response: This made me laugh. LLLFloss and it's not at all creepy! Thank you so much for letting me know that you liked this and I'm thrilled it can lift your spirits!

These were a lot of fun. I didnt like series that didnt have a linking storyline before reading this. Awesome last chapter, I'm sure a lot of people can Identify with it myself included.
Author's Response: Thank you so much, ND! I just listened to "Steady As We Go" on the way home tonight. So glad you enjoyed these and thanks for letting me know!

They were all wonderful, but that last one was simply gorgeous. And yes, that song fits them perfectly. *sigh*
Thank you for these.
Author's Response: Aww, thank you so much, pigeon! It was completely my pleasure and I have a special fondness for the last one, myself! So glad you enjoyed!

I am a puddle of Jim and Pam GOO!
Author's Response: Haha! Then my work here is done, Hannah! So much fun to get a review on this - great to know people are reading some of your old stuff in the archive. Thank you for leaving a review!

I loved every song you wrote. Thank you.
Author's Response: Wow, I don't know how I missed this but it's never too late to say "thank you!" So, thank you, Aurorabee!

& this last one is still my favorite. it's so sweet & i love all the little things that make them love each other. i miss them so much and this makes things a little better.
Author's Response: I can't thank you enough for doing this. You know, on average, about 1-2% of story readers leave a review. It's kind of crazy when you think about it, but it's true. Over time, the percentage goes down from there, because I'm sure folks think that because the story isn't current, a review of it is unnecessary or just kind of dumb. But it's so not. If anything, it means more. It's like, "hey, I just found this (or in your case, even more awesome because you CAME BACK to it!) and I really like it." So gratifying. Thank you so, so much for this, Sunday, and I hope to see you soon! :-*

awwwwww, first fight. (but it was hardly a fight.) and you already know how i feel about this whole story, so i think that's about all i have to say :]
Author's Response: This is a chapter that just wouldn't leave me alone and I'm not 100% happy with it, but it had it's moments. You're so sweet to have done this, Sunday.
Date: March 10, 2008 07:58 pm Title: Let's Do It
BAGUETTE. haha, i love it!
Author's Response: Who doesn't love French bread, right? Thank you so much!!
Date: March 10, 2008 07:55 pm Title: Shake a Little
okay first of all, ahahaha depends. oh how their grocery store antics make me laugh!
"Please say yes. I spent a whole quarter on this thing."
another superb line & another fantastic little story. (yay! they're engaged. now if only they'd get it together on the show!!)
Author's Response: They're not there yet, but...RING IN THE POCKET AT ALL TIMES!!! And a real one, not a plastic fake one, either! What a glorious day that's going to be and I'm really hoping we get to see it. I think we will - they wouldn't have teased us like that with no intention of delivering, right?
Date: March 10, 2008 07:51 pm Title: Here Comes My Girl
once again, i LOVE these sweet little moments. i was all excited for a second cause i was think it'd be their wedding but then i was like, oh no what if he's late! and then of course, he was on time and waiting for her. i know i keep showering this with compliments, but i do love these little moments and i love that they correspond with songs. & i love reading anything you write.
Author's Response: Are you apologizing for doing this? I really think that's unnecessary! I can't tell you how wonderful it is and I appreciate it so much.
Date: March 10, 2008 07:46 pm Title: The Dimming of the Day
awwwww, fluffy banter. that just makes me melt.
and once again, the last line? my favorite :]
Author's Response:
Love this one, too. Thank you!!
Date: March 10, 2008 07:40 pm Title: Turn Me On
spa nights are my favorite. i love when i put aside time to actually shave my legs or put on a face mask.
p.s. this was all kinds of hot.
Author's Response: Old Pam? Probably never did the spa thing. FNB? Without a doubt! She's all kinds of glowy and shiny and stuff and I know part of it is due to being Halpert-ized, but. Glad you liked this little puff of steam.
Date: March 10, 2008 07:35 pm Title: Little T and A
"Yes you do and then I have a full day planned. It's after 11:00, Beesly. Jesus, I had to make the coffee and do the crossword myself."
i love that they have a routine & that hungover!pam failed in her duties. oh, and drunk!jim and drunk!pam when the other one is sober? my fave stories. they're so adorable when the other one is drunk.
Author's Response: Sunday, I am praying to Thor himself that we get to see them both drunk, together, before too long. How adorable and funny would that be?
Date: March 10, 2008 07:32 pm Title: Crash-Crush
i can SO imagine jim sneakily adding things to the grocery list. and pam is in the grocery store getting napkins and checks them off and goes to the next item and is like, "astroglide? JIM!" and him just saying, "whoops." and making a classic jim face.
oh and jim half-naked on a ladder dancing and singing along? please tell me where i can buy my own.
Author's Response: Dude, half-naked Jims have been on backorder for a long, long time! I have a bet with LoveFool that we're going to see a shirtless Jim by the end of season 4 (and I don't even care about winning, because if it happens, WE ALL WIN), but until then, this is the image I have in my mind! See, now we know that Jim can't even hook up TiVo, so he probably couldn't do the ceiling fan, but who cares? TAKE YOUR SHIRT OFF.
Date: March 10, 2008 07:28 pm Title: We Belong Together
awwww, i really miss the fluff but of course, i am a total sucker for angst. this was kinda in the middle. i'll be honest, it wasn't my favorite chapter just because now that i'm going back through these, i don't even remember this one. although i really enjoy reading your take on how she ultimately decided on the yogurt lid. oh and this line?
"I was dorky, too! Can two dorks find love together?" Horrible.
ahahaha, it made me laugh :]
Author's Response: This really isn't my favorite chapter, either, Sunday. I wish I'd have spent a little more time with it, but I think Pam's thoughts were kind of in the middle at that point. I mean, no doubt, she was in love with Jim and didn't want him to leave, but she was trying really hard to be brave and fancy and new, so. I loved that her note and the yogurt lid was just so simple and not a big declaration of love, just a "don't forget me" and of course, the rest is history!
Date: March 10, 2008 07:17 pm Title: I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
when i first read this, i was so very confused. i'm thinking, oh they're going on a road trip! and then i scan the rest of it and i'm like, "wait. what?" and THEN i read your little chapter note at the top. i am SO smart. :P
anyway, as always, this is beautiful. sad, but beautiful. my favorite line is the last one, "but he knew what we was leaving behind."
Author's Response: I kind of hated to bring the angst in the midst of all the fluff, but Jim's state of mind when he was leaving has always fascinated me. It must have been so hard for him to leave, but even harder to stay. What an awful time. Wait...these are fictional characters, right? RIGHT? Thank you for commenting on this chapter in particular, because it didn't get a lot of love, and I know why, but I'm kind of fond of it, myself.
Date: March 10, 2008 07:13 pm Title: New Sensation
“You’re making fun of me.”
“Absolutely.”
:]
Author's Response: Hee hee! Aren't they so cute? I can't stand it!
Date: March 10, 2008 07:10 pm Title: Instant Karma
awwwwww, he's so nervous :] you know what? he really does remind me of a lab. ahahahaha i can just imagine jim in the butcher shop with the aid of dwight's weapons. that might not go over so well.
i remember this chapter. i loveeeee it! "defeated by dinner." so sweet. poor jim! but i love it. everyone's human.
& of course my favorite line, “Even though you’re the meanest girl I know, I’m still going to feed you.”
Author's Response: You know what? I think that might have been my favorite line, too! How fun it is to go back to these little scenes! Thank you so much for doing this!
Date: March 10, 2008 06:48 pm Title: Give Me One Reason
ahahahahaha pam can't resist jim. i don't blame her, though!
Author's Response: Right? How hard would it be to leave him at the door like that? Impossible!!
Date: March 10, 2008 06:40 pm Title: Are You Ready for the Thing Called Love?
rereading some of my favorite stories, so i'll review them again!
this just seems so natural for them. you write the characters so well. i also love that you can write the whole thing in dialogue and it's so easy to follow. usually when the whole thing is dialogue, i have to go back and figure out who's who and what is going on, but not with this!
Author's Response: Shame on me for being so late getting back to you, Sunday! Honestly? I was in the throes of such bad writer's block that I didn't even think I could write a decent response. Pathetic, right? But what a sweet surprise this was! I'm so pleased that you think the dialogue is easy to follow - I sometimes struggle when I'm reading a lot of dialogue, too, so YAY! And thank you!
Date: March 02, 2008 07:43 am Title: Steady As We Go
I just read this entire thing...and I absolutely loved it! I know I'm a little behind the times, but the dialog was just completely Jim and Pam, and everything fit seamlessly. Thank you for writing this!
Author's Response: I'm so sorry I'm so late getting to this, honeypioneer! Better late than never, I hope? Other than a little 55-word thing, this was my first attempt at fanfic and the first writing I'd done in a long, long time, so I'm pleased you liked it! Writing these little vignettes was the perfect way to dip my toe back in without going all full blown "story." In fact, I might go back to doing a few of these, just because they're so much fun. Thank you so much!

What a way to wrap this up. Beautiful stuff. {I cry during the Olympics too ;) }
Author's Response: So do I! Hello, fellow sucker for a sappy moment! Thank you so much for reading this and being kind enough to comment. I see a return to vignettes very soon - they're so much fun to write, you don't have to worry about plot, and they finish fairly quickly and easily (TWSS). Thanks so much for the sweet comment on the boards, too!
