Oh, Karen. She was just a detour, but that doesn't lessen the pain of realizing it. You capture a toughness and determination in Karen that I think they tried to show on-screen but often missed. Beautifully done.

Yes, I could totally see Karen doing this, especially since she had to go right back to Scranton and face him again. She would have a good cry alone, and then shrug the shoulders back, and move foward. I have a hunch that she'll be fine and I hope the writers give her a send-off with dignity.

Thank you for making her a person and not a coniving monster! This is really quite amazing. And I think we've all given ourselves a talk like that after a breakup.

this is great! too short - i would love to read more on this subject. i was working on this topic as well, and then i saw the s4 stuff. so i am currently writing another version in the effort to be more "cannon." i think you did a great job with what we were recently given... i love your writing, i hope to see more soon.
