Thirty, this whole story, from start to finish was simply perfect. I loved evry minute of it. The last installment was so worth the wait. This is really up there on my favorites list. It was so beautifully in character--funny, sweet and romantic. Thanks for the effort.
Author's Response: Thanks NanReg! I think "in character" is my favorite compliment, since that's what I worry about the most when I'm writing. Glad you thought so :)

Amazingly perfect ending chapter. wow. i absolutely adored this whole story! so sad to see it ended! lol
Author's Response: Thank you! Glad you liked it. :) As much work as it was, I already want to start another one! This is not good for my sleeping habits...

So glad to see you'd updated! Writing such a focused 'bed' scene like this is hard (there's the mandatory TWSS for you, lol) to pull off. This is not only hot as hell, but full of feeling, and sweet and funny in the right places. 'Tell me again' - such palpable need, and “You… might not want to do that right now"...holy mother of god. SO sexy, cause it feels real. The tone of this conclusion caps the whole story really well...very nicely done ;-)
Author's Response: Okay, I'll do it -- TWSS! Thanks so much, Colette. I'm glad you thought so. It's such a tricky balance, especially since the English language doesn't seem to have the appropriate words for this sort of thing....

Let's just say I love and concur with your addiction. This is so, so good. Just the kind of sweet, funny, romance that I think they're all about.

this is like a breath of fresh air....finally. I loved his line about not being able to talk about your mom on a first date. You've struck the perfect tone here.

ahhh more more you cant leave it there! haha. great story so far, you are capturing the first date happy/nervous thing so well.
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm working on the last part. I want it to be good!

I really liked this part - except the pomegranate juice ;) My folks are obsessed with it and don't have any real juice in the house anymore!
Seriously though, great job!
Author's Response: Ha, thanks! Notice Pam's "don't ask" -- I figure there's some kind of story there :)

I really love this story! I am very excited for the next chapter. My favorite part of this chapter was:
Face warm, she narrowed her eyes at him, then hooked one leg across his lap to straddle him, looping her arms around his neck. She was a little shocked at her own bravado.
But it was definitely worth it. She watched in fascination as his pupils dilated, and he opened his mouth without speaking for a moment. He swallowed. “Ok, I totally take that back. Feel free.” His hands dropped to her hips, then slid up and down her back. They settled at her shoulder blades as she leaned in to kiss him again."
I love that Pam is being bold and going for it. :)
Author's Response: Thank you! :) I was a little worried that scene would seem out of character, but I figured it goes along with her breakthrough at the end of season 3.

love this story, can't wait to read more! :)
Author's Response: Thanks raok! I'm working on it :)

Wow. That's all I have to say. Well, that and this is really good and I am REALLY enjoying it. I like how you've dragged this out. I'm nervous along with them! How ridiculous is that!
Author's Response: Wow, thanks kgreene, that means a lot to me! Psh, I'll go ahead and say not ridiculous at all ;)

Of all the "first date" stories out there, this one seems most authentic. I can really picture the characters we know from the show acting and speaking this way. Great job.
Author's Response: Thank you! That's the most important part to me when I'm writing about them. Glad you thought so :)

Guh, can't blame Pam for throwing herself at Jim.
Author's Response: Seriously :)

I love how you made Pam be the initiator. Jim would seem like the shy go slow type of guy.
Author's Response: Thanks! I think that he may not necessarily be this way in all circumstances, but he's put himself all out there for her before and gotten shot down. After a year of trying to get over it, he then basically jumps of a cliff by dumping his girlfriend and turning down a huge promotion to go back. He's got to be terrified. Plus, I figure there must be some things that Pam's been dying to say/do for the last year, so I see her taking the lead here. :)

Eee, wonderful!
Author's Response: Hee, thank you! :)

Pam's in love with Jim, and I'm in love with this story! This chapter was beautiful!
Author's Response: Aw, thanks! :)

Now THAT was fantastic. Paced so well. Hot and slightly awkward and completely wonderful.
Author's Response: Wow, thanks so much! I'm really glad you liked it, especially since you're cool and have been reviewing so much of my stuff :)

Wow, Pam has also become Fancy New Flirt! Very nice. Their dinner was so romantic. Sigh....

I love that Pam threw her arms around him when he got there. So sweet and so reminiscent of his first day back from Stanford (only with a happier ending this time.) I just love first date fics - and yours has a great start!
Author's Response: Yeah, I'm all about the happier ending this time around. Thanks :)

cliffhanger much?! wow. this is amazing! when do we get more??? :)
Author's Response: Thanks! :) Um... now? Except, it's not really less of a cliffhanger. Oops.

Oooo...I really liked that, Thirty! Nice tension. Don't keep me waiting!
Author's Response: Ok, I posted an update but... don't hurt me! I'm working on it. It just seemed to divide up this way the best to me ;)

How did I miss this before? Love how sweet and a little bit awkward they are - so true to character. Great emotional presence, just a delicious thing ;-) (And the image of Jim in hot pants? So wrong. But so funny.) Looking forward to more!
Author's Response: Thank you! :) I've been working really hard at the characterization. And for me, that apparently includes conjuring up all sorts of awkward mental images for Jim. Hm...

I need more!!! I think this is the best first date fic I've read yet. I just love the mood you set between them-- so much love and electricity and hopefulness, with a little awkwardness thrown in. In this chapter, I loved when Jim sighed her name before they kissed. And then her combing his hair back to his old hairstyle. And then her saying she didn't want him to go home yet. I hope there's more coming. *adds to favorites*
Author's Response: Puffing (or is it PN?), you are so awesome! Your reviews made my day. :) I've posted an update, but the story's not quite done yet. I'm not being coy, I swear! :)

Wow. You're so good at the sweet, intense moments between them. I loved when she started getting teary-eyed when he wrapped his arms around her when they kissed, and he seemed to know why, and just kissed her again. That brought tears to my eyes.
And then when he asked what he did to inspire her kiss, and she said she just wanted him to know how she felt-- wow. So perfect.

Oh, there's more!
This chapter was so perfect! I love the picture of the way they're sitting together at the table, angled towards each other and so close.

Ooohhh, so sweet! I love the part when he ducked his head to her neck and smelled her. And then when she weaved her fingers with his.
