What an awesome ending. Karen's descriptions of BW were absolutely perfect. I think you did very well by Karen with this story. Great job!!

Again, I really like this! You've pointed out how all of this would hurt karen, and it's spot on! I like how she's not portrayed as a villain. I can't wait to read the rest!

I thinkmI'm really going to like this story! I like that it's from karen's POV, it really changes things. I liked this:
Well, what she needed to say was basically that she is in love with my fucking boyfriend, and that she called off her wedding for him, and now she's pissed that he doesn't give her the time of day. Everyone just sat there staring, and I wanted to get up and slap her but I was kind of stunned. She said her feet hurt and flounced away, while Jim just sat there looking pale as a ghost. I was so angry, but I didn't know what to say, and before I knew it he was going after her.
Very nice!

"I bet you they still haven't gotten around to replacing me in Scranton (as a salesperson, I meant, not as Jim's girlfriend, which we know has already been taken care of. lol ;)."
It's good that Karen is happy and moving on - and that she's able to make a joke about the breakup to her friend. I can't wait to read the next email, especially if it happens to be about a certain trio's visit to Utica!

Go Karen! I'm really loving this insight into her character.

How heartbreakingly sad for Karen. I liked that the people in Utica were "much more normal than Scranton".

Poor Karen. Great backstory for her first day back in Scranton, the fight with Jim and how she got the position in Utica.

I am really enjoying this story, and I like your format. I keep reading the chapters, though, and all I want to know is who the mysterious "JT" is. Is that supposed to be a secret, or is it immaterial to the story? I keep making up possible identities for her secret friend (Josh "Tyler" Porter, perhaps, or some random Stamford friend). Part of me hopes the friend's identity will be revealed, but the other part of me is happy to stop asking questions and take the chapters as they come.
Keep it up! --CH

With a lot of Karen fanfic these days I tend to stop reading very early because she's written as either the evil bitch-obstacle who got what was coming to her or as some super understanding Jam worshiper who submissively accepts her pain and becomes Jim's cheerleader in the face of the almighty purity that is Jim and Pam.
Thanks for not doing this, and instead giving her a real voice. Great story so far.

Oh, this is lovely! I always felt so bad for Karen -- she was caught in the middle of something she had no idea about -- none of this was her fault and it just sucks that she was hurt over it.
These emails are so realistic -- very much like something I'd email to my girlfriends. Please continue!

"Thanks for making me feel like a whore, asshole." Great job on Karen's POV of the breakup.

This really sounded like Karen! But I weirded myself out by feeling such an angsty twinge when Karen wrote "he pretty much jumped me and we ended up in bed for the rest of the morning." I guess after what Pam said to him the night before I wouldn't have expected him to jump into bed with Karen. What? This is just a story? Oh, nevermind!/Emily Latella. (Great job.)
Author's Response:
It kind of made me twinge to write it, but the way I see it is that Jim DID stay with Karen for a week after BG, so he must have slept with her during that time. Since this is from Karen's POV we don't really know what Jim is thinking, but I was trying to convey that Jim was using sex as a distraction, trying not to talk about the issues with Karen.
Thanks for the review! :)

I really, really (REALLY) like this. I hope it's only the beginning...
Author's Response: Thanks! There will be more to come.

I love this new perspective. Great job.
