Can I hug Angela? Pretty please?
I love Angela fics (when they are well written, which this one is), because I relate to her in so many ways. Not the having a cat murdering boyfriend, but in other ways. And so I love it!

I really like this. Your narrative voice is really skillful, and the details (like the prices and the sprinkles on the cake) are spot-on. You also capture the ambivalence towards Pam that Angela seems to display. One nitpick- I think it is spelled "planner" not "planer". Great job, though! Thanks for sharing it.

what a beautiful story. i love the way you write, and the characters you portray! angela, for all her calculating, judgemental ways, really does care about planning parties (though not necessarily the people they're for) and you narrated that well. and her inner monologue about dwight: "without your [party planner] title you’re not sure what you’d have left, because your cat is dead and your boyfriend has a tiny “ex” tacked on the front and the two are related which is really what you’re having trouble with", tackles her issues really well while summing up exactly what is the most important to her. i also loved the bit about needing to feel human contact, even someone like Pam who is a hussy and confidante and friend all rolled into one. can't wait to read more of your work!

This was lovely. Angela-fic often tends to veer away from her softer side, which we've seen so many times before on the show (the woman's got more cracks in her life than a broken piece of china--i.e. "Christmas Episode"). You did a great job exploring that; I liked this a lot! -CH
