This is one of my favorite versions of their first time of all time.
Date: October 09, 2020 01:22 pm Title: I can make your heart beat short
I'm sorry this chapter hated you, because the stammering, awkward breakroom convo is my favorite part of this fic.

I had never read this before, so I read the whole thing in one sitting and LOVED it. :) Everything is so real and believable, and the characterizations are spot-on. You really captured who they are as a couple and across so many scenarios too-- from sad to playful to sexy, and just... yay. Thank you for finishing this. It was so nice to just sit and read a well-written story all the way through.
Author's Response: Thanks so much, more_awake! I always hate getting invested in a story and then have it just drop off, so I feel much better having finally finished it. :) I'm really glad you thought their personalities rang true - I definitely agonized over that! Thank you for reading!

This isn't one I've read before, but thank you so much for finishing it, because maybe I'd never have come across it otherwise? I really enjoyed it. The angst at the beginning is a killer :( I love that you had Pam spend some time on her own after leaving Roy (and that she told Jim she needed that time) - so true in the show too - if only Jim had known then too! The proposal sounds just lovely, regardless of the audience! ;)
Author's Response: Thanks Katie! Yeah, before updating it had been buried pretty deep by the sands of time. :) I'm glad it felt right to you - for me, the story was about Pam changing not just her relationship, but her whole life. Thanks for reading!

Thanks for finishing. It is wonderful.
Author's Response: Thanks thursdays! I'm glad you liked it. :)

thirtypercent, you've always been one of my favorite authors, and I was giddy to learn that you've finished this, because I definitely remembered it...particularly parts of it ;) I printed it out at work yesterday and read it on the train, finishing at my desk this morning. I looked so busy! It was a joy reading this from the beginning. Thank you, also, for rekindling that feeling of excitement of seeing an update from a favorite author. I hope you continue to write. xo
Author's Response: Aww, thanks so much NanReg! This made me do a little happy dance. :) The Office has a lot of sentimental meaning to me, but I probably won't write any more for it - it's just sad knowing there won't be any more episodes.
I actually have just started writing for another fandom though - but it's, uh, a slightly different genre. (BBC Sherlock and, um, slash....)

Thanks for finishing your beautiful story. It definitely feels right now that we know the end of Jim and Pam's story. Best wishes.
Author's Response: Thanks so much, OfficeLady! I'm really glad the MTT boards gave me the kick in the pants I needed to finish it up. It gives me closure - I'd always felt guilty about leaving them hanging. :)

Emotionally magnificent :) Thank you for finishing this! It's one of my favorite stories on the archive. I know the fic bug doesn't bite us much anymore, but this story is one of the reasons I loved this show so much - so much angst, and hope, and sweetness and funny, and you captured it all and kept them true to character. Wonderful.
Author's Response: Thanks so much Callisto! It's been so long since I've been in the characters' heads (so to speak), that thinking about finishing this story became pretty intimidating. I do kind of wish the ending was stronger, but I figured I should just stop waffling and post at this point :)
I'm really glad you liked it, and I'm so glad you think it was in character! I think that was what I worried about the most in this story.

OOOOH please update. That last chapter was a killer. I knew it wasn't completed when i was reading it, but man i can't wait for the next chapter! Hurry Please! :)

This is now the third time I have read this story and every time, I forget it ends on such a cliffhanger until the last chapter. I enjoy the first 8 chapters so much and can't believe it just ends. Please come back and finish this story!!! It is so amazing and deserves to be finished. I really hope you still see these reviews and know how many people want you to finish this story. You are a great writer and I hope this story gets added to someday.
Author's Response: It's too bad email notifications don't work anymore, or I could use this to tell you I finally updated. :)

So I know it's been a REALLY long time since you updated but this story is too fabulous to leave it unfinished. On top of how great it is, you left us at such a HUGE clifhanger I think you really have no choicr except to come back and finish it. If you're out the, I beg you, come back and give us resolution. I want to know why Roy is sitting waiting when Pam gets home from Ny, how Roy will react to Jim not only being there physically with her but I would also think it would be VERY obvious that Jim is with her in EVERY way. How will Jim react to Roy sitting there? Will it bring out his insecuritie and make him wonder if Pam and Roy are in contact even though after the night they spent together, he should feel extremely secure about his place in Psm's life and heart and even in her bed. I also want to see just how Pam will react to this little turn of events. SOOOOO... pkease come back. Fill in all these blanks for us!

WHAT???!?!?!?!?!?!??!!!!!!!!! You're going to leave me hanging like this (TWSS! TWSS!) I can't believe you just stopped! I'm so sad, I love this story! Keep going, please!!!
Date: May 24, 2011 06:49 pm Title: I'm a young soul in this very strange world
"Jim Halpert, I may not be your BFF, but you are mine."
AND
"What are you wearing."
Wow, that is just... wow. I really really love this story. It's amazing and really awesome (x5!). I also loved the emails to each other at the beginning, but I hate to say it: there were only twenty exclamation points in Pam's chipper one. Sorry. :)
Anyways, I hope you'll get this review some day because I'm not sure if they still do the "You've got a new review!" emails anymore... Crossing my fingers because I'd love for you to hear how much I love your story... 'cause it's awesome!
Author's Response: Wow, apparently they don't actually do email notifications anymore, so I had no idea that I was getting these reviews. I don't think I'd logged in in a year or more. Thanks so much for your comments! Writing this story meant a lot to me, and I really appreciate it when people take the time to respond. Of course, no email notifications means you'll probably never see this response. :)
I really do need to finish it, and it bubbles up in my head every so often, a little guilty weight in the back of my mind. I'll do it one of these days - I swear!

Every time I think I cannot possibly read another "Jim/Pam getting together" story something like this turns up. That was superb. I loved how slow you got them together. The conversation in the break room was so much fun to read, and Pam growing into her own in New York was very believable. Love it, but am slightly worried about the next turn of events.

ah! cliffhanger!! I just read all of this in one go (well, ok, I paused to sleep in the middle, but that wasn't really out of choice) and now there's a CLIFFHANGER?!
Really enjoying this story, and hope you will update soon!

I'm glad you picked up the story again! Keep it coming!

How fantastic to see this story updated! And what a great way to segue into it. The atmosphere of their waking up is perfect, and Jim's uncertainty of how to act when they get back to Scranton is great:
Should he just drop her off at home? Can he invite himself in? Does this still count as a first date? What the hell counts as gentlemanly now? Is he supposed to give her space now or something? God knows he’s become good at that.
I love the ending--can't wait to see where you go next. So good to see you back, thirtypercent!

Not sure how I missed this story earlier this year. It is fabulous! You’ve got me hooked in how. Loved the angst; loved the fluff. Great job. Can't wait to read the next chapters! Hope Pam has some pepper spray handy.
