So glad you updated since I completely lost where this story was. I caught up now. Great job.

I probably shouldn't admit this - but I still haven't seen the episode with Roy going after Jim and Michael and the castle yet - I found S3 so angsty that there were several shows I just never watched. (I know, I'm a dork!) But I love your April - the letter showed us so much about Jim and how he felt back then. And, if we want to talk about the universe sighing and then shouting out "Finally" - well, we all heard it at the end of S3, didn't we? The "trinkets" are so neat, and each charm is even more charming than the prior one. (Pardon the pun). I can't wait till tomorrow in the story. (And speak of the devil, Roy's on Gray's tonight. )

Ah, rewriting The Negotiation. Niiiiice. This time Jim gets in a punch. I suspect I'd have found you irresistible even without narcotics. That Jim, such a smoothie.
And the bouncy castle. *Insert smutty thoughts here* Love, love, LOVE the charm. Sigh. Also love that they are having some serious heart-to-hearts and trusting each other.
Damn I miss those two.

The dress was beautiful - the charm was adorable - and reading how their March was last year was great to see what could have been. I love that Jim took her to David Wallace's house - and was there for her for the pregnancy scare. I love how you're letting us see their life through his letters to her. So sweet.

I love that Jim had a scavenger hunt with the Care Bear valentines! I love the creativity that you've brought to this story. Handwritten letters rock and of course the charms are just the sweetest touch.

I can't believe I lost track of this story! This chapter was so sweet and so romantic! All the little things he'd saved from their first month together - and that letter! Wow.

kudos on Americone Dream reference! my brother and I have been on very similar quests...
:-D great read. I was actually entertained w/o my adderall :-P

I love how you told the story of the pregnancy scare in the letter format. It was just the right amount of insider knowledge and confession.

Oh that one brought tears to my eyes! This is such a fun story because of how you're working in all those little canon elements into the AU. I can't wait to find out what new twist you'll be coming up with!

That could work nicely indeed. I'm so glad that I read the other story. It really fills in the background of this particular AU. I'm looking forward to it!

Oh, so sweet. Like Valentine's chocolates.

Oooh, another story with "Jim in a towel". We're gonna get spoiled, Mox, and expect it on the show. :) And I'm sure he doesn't mind his "demanding" girlfriend.
Pam's dress is purdy. Love the color.
Oh, you did include the cocktail party! Yay! I'm sure that they would have had a blast mocking people, as opposed to what happened on the show, with certain people pranking about their "history" while their boyfriend is trying so hard to obliterate his own history. Not funny.
As Beeswax mentioned, I love the fact that he goes quite a bit farther out his way to get ice cream for Pam, than to get potato chips for Karen. Holy crap. That must have been a great drive down to Philly through the Poconos in the winter weather in the middle of the night. Ah, true love.
I can picture Jim in RiteAid, hands in pockets, shoulders hunched to try to make himself disappear, licking his lips, nervously glancing up and down the aisle. Yikes. I'm willing to bet he wandered around the store a few times, trying to appear casual, sort of like me in The Gap. Ha!
Glad that their first crisis brought them closer together. I can see communication being an issue with them for awhile, until they come to realize that the other one isn't going to disappear if problems arise or disagreements occur.
Looking foward to the coming of spring.

This story is a Jim-lover's dream. This letter melted my heart.
I also like how you erased the "Herr's Chips" search with what's-her-name and replaced it with an ice cream search for Pam.
Looking forward to April!

OH MY GOSH...a mention of both Ioan Gruffudd and Americone Dream ice cream*?! You know the way to my heart :) I am really enjoying your AU version of JAM's first year. Great details and gifts as well.
*have you found this in our area? I don't know who would have it!
(The link for the dress didn't work...I want to see Pam's hot dress!)
Author's Response:
the link should work now - thanks for pointing that out! I have found Stephen's ice cream at (of all places!) Satan's Superstore - aka WalMart.
glad you like the story - thanks for the review!

Glad I'm not the only one with preggers Pam on the brain ;-) Loved this: I remember throwing in a pack of Trident and a KitKat bar with the purchase, as if somehow it made me look more casual. Ha! Perfect Jim and very BOY. This story is still a happy pill, Mox. Is it April yet?

Yay -- Pam made Jim take her to 'Blades of Glory' -- will he drag her to 'License to Wed'?
And the 'Knocked Up' DVD is too freaking funny. (I just got it from NetFlix, so guess what I'm doing tonight!)

I'm not sure what to say about this that I haven't already told you, except to say, once again, I love it. Jim's willingness to admit he was a bit disappointed she wasn't pregnant because he just knew this was it, was great. I love that he gave her 'Knocked Up'. Great touch. Excellent job, as always. Looking forward to the next 9 months ;)

I love that you are making so much less of season 3 being so full of heartache. I also love that the letters from Jim are filling it all in for us. And, yes, Gil is an ass. Thanks for sharing this, it is lovely :)

I LOVED LOVED LOVED the original story, so I was just thrilled when I saw that you have done a follow up. I love the premise and can't wait to see where this goes.

I love that we are getting to see what S3 would have been like if Jim and Pam got together last Christmas. I also love seeing the year through Jim's eyes in his letters.
Another amazing story, moxie! I can't wait for more!
Date: January 01, 2008 06:40 am Title: February
Call me dense, but I just now realized after reading this how great this story is because we get to see how the second half of S3 would have played out in an idealized universe. Too bad we couldn't have seen Jim take Pam to the cocktail party; they would have had a blast mocking people and messing with Dwight.
You always write their dialogue so well, it's such a joy to read. Smooth, easy, sweet and romantic.
Parma: "I need to get a job like that." What? One where you get to kiss Jim Halpert all day? Overtime, anyone?
Now you've got me thinking. Will we ever see Jim and Pam attend another Office wedding together? Might be too repetitious for the show. Well, there's always their wedding...
So let's see. What happened in March? Oh yeah, the hiatus from hell. Little did we know what small peanuts that would turn out to be. :( Well, I'm sure you'll fill in the time nicely, Mox.
