What a great riff on that fleeting moment in the bar that night (loved how he put his arm around her in that episode - so wordlessly revealing.) Of course she brings out his territorial (great way to put it) instincts, love that she makes him dizzy.
-he just lets it go. I think that's it - finally being able to love her openly and having her return it is ironically a liberation from obsessing on her. Very, very nice.
Author's Response: i maintain that you write me feedback that is infinitely better than what i have written :) thank you v. much - i actually just finished a fic about the first time they held hands. i think i am fixating on these little things because the enormity of their being together is at times too much to bear.

What a great description of what Jim must be going through - to finally have all of his dreams coming true; to finally be with the one he loved and couldn't have; to finally be allowed to love her out loud.

Damn, I miss those two. And I miss seeing the transition in them as they figure out who they are together. This helps.

You know, I think this is probably exactly what Jim is thinking. How before he had to rationalize and store up every little moment with her and now that he has her he doesn't have to anymore and had to readjust his concepts. Great job!

very lovely. you've found a way to say so much, capture so much, with very few words. i love how you've taken this shift in jim and shown it as something he learns. because the way he was with her before they got together doesn't simply disappear, and you've shown that wonderfully!
