Noooooo! It can't be over! This morning I clicked on your story title and I've just been reading (and not doing any work!) for the past two hours. I was so into the story I wasn't checking the chapter numbers, so I finished reading this chapter, went to click Next and there was no button! Please do NOT wait 6 months to sent the next update, I need to know what happens! Would you mind if I went back and reviewed each chapter seperatly? There's just so much to process in each one. Keep up the great work!
Author's Response:
Actually, I'd love it if you left comments for each chapter to say what did & didn't work for you. (But don't let your boss catch you spending 2 hours reading!)
Thanks for the lovely review!

I really like the way you wrapped it up. And this still slays me: I Like Him from The Man of La Mancha for Michael.
Author's Response: Thanks, jazz! Your comments definitely helped me to frame the ending better. Oops. I just realized I forgot to give you beta credit in the intro section. I'll have to fix that...

I am just obsessed with this story! You have a wonderful way with words and I look forward to every installment. I have to tell you that Cardiac Care hits very close to home. My father had a near fatal massive heart attack in March of this year, and I actually used the tips in this story to help me during his time in the hospital. I NEVER would have thought to take notes, bring in treats for the nurses, and get business cards from the staff. Thank you so much for unintentionally navigating me through my dad's hospital stay. Can't wait for the next part!
Author's Response: Somehow I missed your review yesterday. THANK YOU SO MUCH for letting me know that my story helped you. You're the second reviewer to say that (the other one was Crystallized) and, I gotta tell you, it really makes my day to think my story is not just entertaining people but helping a few folks out at a really stressful time of their lives. I hope your dad is OK now.

(for some reason it wouldn't let me post this all as one, anyway) Thank you for posting another chapter. Now I'll be officially hooked...again
Author's Response: You're welcome. Glad to have you back on the officially hooked list!

Okay, i finally got off the phone and read this chapter. I loved it! I loved the scene with Larissa. And the ringtone thing was great
Author's Response: OK, you made me laugh with this, too. I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter.

I love this story and I know I'm far from alone. Just the detail and care you have put into is phenomenal and makes the reader really invest themselves in it. I understand that because of that, it must take a while to write but I beg you - please keep going! I would love to see Jim and Pam truly reconnect again. Oh and another thing, I think WWPD or WWJ(im)D badges are a great invention and I want some! :)
Author's Response: Oops! I missed you yesterday, too. Thanks for taking the time to leave a note. I'm so glad you're enjoying the story.

First off I sqealed with delight when I saw you had updated. I was just thinking about this story yesterday. I wanted to beg you for an update but didn't want to bother! I loved your scene with Larrisa. The same thing happened with my dad. It was very scary to watch. They had to tie him down. I love everything about this story actually. I know you have struggled finishing this but I hope you know you are a talented writer and should keep going. I'm willing to wait as long as it takes.
Author's Response:
Thanks so much for your REALLY kind words. I can't believe how nice people are about the incredibly long time it takes me to post these chapters recently.
And, yeah, it really is scary to watch a family member go through this. Poor Larissa isn't done yet, either!

I've checked 'most recent' daily since you got back from Australia, looking for an update to your wonderful story. Could hardly believe my eyes tonight! But that chapter didn't last long, and now I need more. Loved the WWPD... where is she? I don't need morphine - just more chapters! (Thanks for the update. Love it.)
Author's Response:
Is this the first chapter I've posted since we came back from Africa? I didn't think so, but I guess you're right.
Thanks for hanging in there with me.

Awww I cannot wait to find out what else is going to happen. Poor Larissa is soooo high lol.
Author's Response: Yep. Larissa is not in such good shape right about now. I'm glad you enjoyed.

OMG!!!! I was talking on the phone and I looked at the Most Recent list and when i saw that you updated I Gasped then did a double take! My friend asked me if i was ok. LOL. I actually haven't even read the new chapter yet, but after i do i will comment again.
Author's Response: This cracked me up. I hope you enjoy hte chapter when you read it.

Great job as always! :)
Author's Response: Thank you!

I was so excited to see you updated this - yay!!!! It's funny, whenever I see you've left a review on another story I want to say, no! You need to be writing your story, now get to work!
Interesting chapter. Where's Pam?
Author's Response:
I can't believe you said that! I actually don't leave as many reviews as I'd like because I'm afraid people will know I'm out there reading other stories and slacking off when I could be updating this one. And it's true! ... At least for one person.
Pam is ... somewhere else. Actually, her whereabouts aren't important right now. There's nothing significant about her absence.

So glad to see an update! This story is as awesome as ever, can't wait to see more posted!
And I actually did ok on morphine. I mean, I told the nurse she didn't have to worry about me and I'd take care of myself (and "Love ya!" as she left the room) and I kept saying my tongue was gigantic... but it was nothing compared to how I thought the Travelocity gnome was following me around once I was on Lortab. ;) Keep it coming!
Author's Response:
Really? The Travelocity gnome was following you? Were you actually scared or just kind of weirded out?
Ihad Lortabs, too and man, I LOVED it! On the last night of our church's mission trip to help with a rebuilding project after Katrina, I broke my ankle in three places. A plate and 10 screws are now embedded in my lower left leg. I can't remember all the painkillers I got, but I DEFINITELY remember the Lortab. It is, hands down, my drug of choice! Mr. Blood called my Lortabs "Mr. Happy Pill." I loved everybody, appreciated everybody, gushed my affection for anyone who came anywhere near me. A few weeks on Lortab later and, believe me, I can understand how someone could get addicted to narcotics.

Yay for this story being back! Hope there is more soon.
Author's Response: Thanks! I hope so, too. Here's to beating the block.

You know... When something is good, one can't get enough.
So, get crackin' on the next few chapters and post them.
P.S. What's her ring tone??
Author's Response:
There is NO satisfying you, woman!
I'm thinkin you won't find out her ring tone for a while. So secretive I am.
Date: July 19, 2009 07:55 pm Title: Madness
Yay for an update! So when does the next chapter go up? ;)
Author's Response:
Oh my God! MINUTES after I finally get one up you're already asking for the next?? (TWSS.)
I really don't know when it will be. Next one isn't even started yet. I will TRY to be faster this time. (But I keep saying that, don't I?)

Glad I gave you a giggle...
Patience never was one of the virtues bestowed upon me. PLEASE don't make me wait much longer! Sunday is almost over!!!
Author's Response:
Patience was never one of my virtues, either. I actually took Patience as my confirmation name because I thought it was a virtue I needed to work on...
See, when I promise with a specific DATE, I come through.

Wait! Stop... What's that sound? Do you hear it??
I do believe that's the sound of angels singing praise!
I look forward to reading it and I hope those following chapters are soon to follow.
Author's Response:
Oh, you made me laugh with this one, EJER. :-)
Later tonight...

This has to be my favorite mtt fanfic. I check every day to see if it has been updated. I am the friend that shared your story with EJER (a few reviews down) and she asks me at least once a week if Cardiac Care has been updated. PLEASE push past the block and update, we're dying here! LOL!
Author's Response:
Thanks a lot, jslasb. Both for recommending my story to EJER and for taking the time to leave a note. It is amazing to me that a few of you are saying this is your favorite mtt story. There are so many outstanding stories on this site. I feel really honored that you feel that way about my story.
Look for the next chapter by Sunday.
Date: July 13, 2009 08:15 pm Title: Prologue
Please don't let this story die. This is the one and only story that I hope for an update everyday when I check into MTT.
I hope things are good in your world. Please take care!
Author's Response: Wow. Thank you so much, airjorg. I cannot believe how supportive and patient you folks are! I have a chapter out to the beta team now. Hoping to post by Sunday. I have to spend the day shopping for an interview suit tomorrow, so maybe by the time I get back I'll have some feedback and can revise before posting.

Question: Once you get the new chapter on, does that mean you'll add the other chapters you've mentioned that were done right away, too? Because that would be lovely...
Author's Response:
Well, no, to tell you the truth. There are probably a few chapters before I get to the ones that are already written. I'm trying to beat the block, though.
Thanks so much for pinging me every once in a while. It means an awful lot to me to know that there are people out there actually waiting for the next chapters. Truthfully, I'd have thrown in the towel by now if it wasn't for you guys!
Date: June 30, 2009 06:05 pm Title: Rings
I finally had time this weekend to re-read from the beginning...so now of course I am dying for the next chapter. Push through that block, pretty please?
Author's Response:
I've been trying! I'm hoping to have the next (small) chapter up before the end of the weekend.
Thanks so much!

I can't remember whether or not I reviewed this story, but I just wanted to tell you that it is one of my favorites on MTT. Fake marriage is a great way to get Jim and Pam together :). I am eagerly awaiting the next chapter...the suspense is killing me!! (but no pressure, of course)
Author's Response:
OK, I've been too embarrassed to actually respond to these last few reviews. I've been such a poke lately and have not been able to make myself write two sentences in a row. HOWEVER, I have finally send off a chapter to my beta committee. Jazzfan thinks she'll be able to take a look at it tonight. So, hopefully, soon I will post another chapter.
