Considering the title, this is a remarkably upbeat story. This feels like it hit the nail on the head with Season 4 Jam in a way a lot of fic misses - they're not uniformly euphoric and they have their moments, but nothing that would come close to threatening their relationship. And ugh, do I ever wish this has been the fate for Kelly, if not Michael.

I think you captured something really essential about each character here - how Pam/Jim's happiness isn't about being insecurity-free, but feeling loved enough to be brave; Kelly is a delicious bite of Kelly (good snapshot of Darryl too); and Karen's bruised but still hopeful willingness to try again. I thought Michael/Jan was particularly touching - such a sweet, intimate image of them simply sleeping. Lovely.

I love thinking about them in that way, because with everything they've both gone through to get to each other (and everything else that we've seen of both of them) they have to have something more than just a giddy filling of security. rnrnThank you for what you've said in regards to everyone else too. I feel very green to Office fic writing, so it's nice to know I'm not completely off the mark.

Aw! How lovely! I really loved the Jim/Pam part (dare I say, duh) but the bit with Kelly and then the bit about Karen really clinched it for me. You wrote the two of them so well! Actually you wrote all the characters really well... so this fic really works!

Loved this. lol "getting screwed in none of the fun ways" is really great. And you really nailed Kelly.
