Oh.my.god. I think I'm on fluff overload, which is always a good thing!!! There's been so much angst I got paranoid at the end of last chapter when she said sorry, totally not thinking she was just apologizing for hitting him. You need to keep going, we need Jim to say I love you and Pam hear, and Pam reciprocate and definitely more fluff!!!!

I really liked this chapter. I think some other "first date" fics kind of gloss over the kind of awkwardness that I'm sure these two experienced at the beginning, even though they were best friends, but I think it's a necessary component of their story. I mean, they've both been through so much with each other in terms of exes and hurt feelings, etc., plus there was the whole transition from "friend" mode to "relationship" mode--that's not something that you just smoothly fall into, even after so many years of friendship. So nicely done!
Author's Response: I know exactly what you're talking about, and that is why I added this chapter. Look for more 'awkwardness' in the next chapter, as Jim and Pam make the transition...I can't wait to post it! I'm still waiting for a few more reviews...

That was a nice chapter. I think I might have liked more detail on what they discussed to get a feel for where they were both coming from- but I liked this anyway, moving on to date#2- let the fluffy reign.
