Consider me thoroughly kicked as well!! I like how you had her break. A lot of others are doing it too, but somehow not as effective or realistic in my opinion. But how she's waiting and waiting and then asks what's wrong with her that no one wants to marry her is I think more true to Pam. Great job, I've loved it!!!

I wanted to get it posted before last night just in case they decided to kick us all... but after last night's events I gotta wonder just how amazing it's going to be! what an absolutely PERFECT end to a perfect story. The entire weekend was great and I love how you did give her that insecurity....how could she not feel that with her history. I hate to say it but part of me hopes that for the sake of reality, we DON'T get to see it on the show, because it seems like he probably wouldn't want cameras around for a moment like that. OMG, Callisto - this is superb! You are getting even better at writing Jim and Pam, I think. I was thrilled to see a new chapter posted! The detail of the day they met is amazing and I can see Pam making up her engagement to hide what she felt for Jim. I was loving this chapter and then when I read this:
Jim looked me in the eye and said very deliberately, “Oh, I wouldn’t bother with that.”
...I almost choked on my raisin toast. I cannot wait to see what you post next!!

I wish I had reviewed this story earlier. I'm really enjoying this. It's believable, warm, and funny all in one package, and I love how you integrate actual episodes into the story and fill in the unseen bits. I really enjoyed Jim and Pam's flashbacks of the day they met. I can see Pam feeling an immediate attraction to Jim, but lying about her engagement. Great Job!
