I loved it. I totally see Jim saying "Right Whatever". Super cute and it puts a whole new spin on the season finale. Thank you. I'm writing one where Jim proposes farther down the line but I love to read all the proposals. Yours is wonderful.

I really like this. Very nice. Jim proposing in the parking lot to a fireworks display just seems out of character--more like something Roy would do. Jim only spending a few moments at work to plan out his proposal would not produced the ass-kicking we were promised. There's been other post Goodbye Toby proposal stories, but this one makes me the happiest.

Wow! I remember you making this comment! What a wonderful and original take on the S4 "Proposal that wasn't".
I loved this memory:
He thought back...he had promised the world and the diamond shimmered under the night sky as they stood on his back porch. It was simple...everything and nothing, and perfect in its imperfection as he nearly slipped on the dewy planks.
Those words painted such a simple and beautiful picture. *sigh*
