I just read your reviews and I realized that mine is almost the same as bitterpill's. LOL. You stunned us both, I guess. This story was delicious and I hope you do write a sequel. Well done for it! I enjoyed reading it very much.

I think Prof. Halpert is one of my favorite, and one of the sexiest, versions of Jim Halpert ever. So hot! Thanks for this one!

Um. New kink. Jim teaching. I can just imagine him with a vest over a crisp white shirt and reading glasses... gahhhhh. This was a wonderful, sexy bit of AU whimsy, and I really enjoyed it.

Awesome story! I loved that it was set in 1954, the 40's and 50's are my favorite time periods in history. Very well done. Looking forward to reading more from you.
Author's Response:
Thanks, kaystar. I'm already working on a sequel. :-)

Wow, this was really hot and kind of naughty. I liked it.
Author's Response: Glad you did, GreenFish. Thanks!

I guess he taught her a thing or two. Heh.
Very creative.
Author's Response: Hehe, thank you, nqllisi.

Oh holy jesus! This is unbelievably hot. I was literally reading it with my hand over my mouth because of the naughtiness (oh professor!), and the hotness, and just, guh. Now that that's out of the way, I'd like to say it's also very well-written: you paid incredible attention to the period and its details, the sex was steamy (have I mentioned that yet?) but realistic for the situation, and the ending was a little heart-breaking. Please do write a sequel!
Author's Response:
Glad you liked it, neptune1. :)
The sequel is in progress.

Um.
Wow.
This may be the hottest fanfic I have ever read.
Author's Response:
When I read the idea on the "Fic You are Horrified to Want to Read" livejournal post I was taken with how hot it was too. (Obviously, or I wouldn't have tried fanfic because of it.)
I'm glad you liked it, cheapcolouredlights.

Wait a minute. Did I read your profile right? You're new to this?
Damn! Way. to. GO!!!
I really liked this. I have developed a taste for InappropriateJim, and I say More! This was also a wonderfully different AU, and was told with creativity and a great feel for the fifties.
Author's Response:
Should clarify--relatively new to creative writing, but not a total newbie. I have never written fanfic before, but Pam and Jim as a couple are so tempting!
I shouldn't still be awake, but I've been bitten by the bug and am slowly moving Pam and Jim into the 60s. So yes, there will be more, though the inappropriate level may not ever rate as high as professor/sudent.
Thank you, ElizabethLynn, for your review. I really do appreciate it.

A little strange seeing Jim so dominant and less jokey, but I certainly don't hate it. I just have to say, since I don't think anyone else has mentioned it, the detail with him pulling out to prevent pregnancy is spot-on for the time. Such a great detail, right there.
Author's Response:
I'll have to work on the jokey side for the sequel. :)
Thanks!

I gotta say that my teacher self says “Ewwwww! No way! Gross!” Professor Halpert went WAY over that always present line. On the other hand, my female self says, “Go for it, Pam!”
Your piece is beautifully written. The films Mona Lisa Smile and Kinsey popped up in my mind’s eye. You captured the repressive ’50s as well. I didn’t find a false note. Everything in your story says 1950s.
Any chance you’d consider writing about the psychedelic ’60s? The year 1968 is full of possibilities. How about Jim and Pam meeting at a memorial for Dr. King or they’re protesting during the Democratic Convention in Chicago or they meet while campaigning for Bobby Kennedy as he runs for President? How musical are Pam and Jim? Hair opened on Broadway in 1968. Of course, there’s always the war. It broke up a lot of couples and also created new ones. Okay. Okay I’ll stop reliving my college days now.
Really--a great story. I enjoyed it very much.
Author's Response:
Thank you for such an awesome review! I was fully aware of the squicky professor-abusing-his-power aspect and I feel like a tool for having written it that way. Actually now that I have some sequel plans in mind I think I would have written that office scene quite differently (in the sense that, well, they wouldn't have actually crossed a the line but instead tiptoed along it for a while).
I definitely will write a story about the 60s but I'll have to do some more research before I write it.
Thank you so much for your review!

This was fantastic! I really like to see Jim in the dominating position, and not just following Pam around, waiting for the scraps of attention and affection that she drops for him. The man knows what he wants, and he goes right for it.
The desk part weirded me out a tad, but...yea, rather hot. I really like the detail of him hitting his hand on the desk when he comes. I can totally see that heppening.
The dialogue: bravo. This is one of the few fics I've read where I can picture the characters in my head while reading. They often get lost.
Bring on the sequel!
Author's Response:
Hi Annabelle! :)
I was basing Professor Jim on the last 20 seconds or so of Casino Night. Or when he got all snarky on Pam and said, "You mean like your thoughts and feelings?" We all know he has it in him.
Thank you for appreciating the details!
The sequel is forthcoming, I think.

It is completely unfair that Professor Halpert did not teach at my college.
Awesome use AU albeit a sad ending :( but it's realistic in terms of the time period and the story.
And Jim still wearing his tie as he has his way with Pam is all kinds of hot. ;)
Author's Response:
Thanks for reviewing, xoxoxo.
TV_Buffy already has me thinking about a sequel, though, and (bonus!) it wouldn't have such a sad ending.

Wow. I really liked this. A lot.

About as original an AU as I've ever read. Interesting premise...I'm not really comfortable with Jim's abuse of his authority, but that's just me being prissy. And of course, because it's Jim&Pam, part of me wished they could've ended up together. But your ending was so much more realistic.
Author's Response:
Thanks, Luna Mystik. The abuse of authority thing also worried me but I struggled (and was ultimately unable) to find a work-around that would still fit the Teacher/Student request that I wrote this for.
Thanks for reviewing!

Enjoyed this story a lot. Great period piece, but unfortunate ending. Where's Betty Friedan when Pam needs her? Good job!
Author's Response:
Gosh, I know. But given Pam's frequent deference to Roy on the show (especially about the design internship) I thought it would be plausible for a 20 year-old Pam from 1954 to be way behind the curve of feminism.
Thanks for reviewing, TV_Buffy, and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Author's Response: Should have added: Though you know, TV_Buffy, now that I think about it, I could easily picture Pam reading The Feminine Mystique when it comes out in the early sixties after almost ten years of marriage to Roy. Also, after she isn't a student. Okay now I'm thinking about a sequel, and it's all your fault. :-)

Interesting story.
